    Careful

you’ll be accused of being on the board soon

It’s not what I was hoping for this appointment, but I agree entirely with what you said.

With the variety of options out there I think it’s fair to say we could have surely found a more promising prospect.

Fans picking the manager is a bit extreme, but any club owner should take fan behaviour on board, and now days any sensible company would have someone trawling the internet, giving out surveys etc. to get a feel for the mood of their customer (fan) base.

If I remember right the chairman at the time told MoN some angry fans were outside, in this era, Top would just not care less.

Top just keeps repeating the same decisions whilst acting as if its some kind of reset.

  2. I want him out twice over now.

In a rare interview with the British press in February, Srivaddhanaprabha outlined his determination to appoint a new head coach with a similar philosophy to Enzo Maresca, who achieved promotion to the Premier League in 2024.

He said: “We have to get back to the identity of Leicester, what type of football we should play and what players we should bring.

“I think it was so clear when we got Enzo on board, what football we should play, and the type of player we should bring in.”

  3. For those who think Top isnt obsessed with style of play and has no input on managers.

Check the end of this article.

    Every manager is a risk.

We’ve already tried Steve ‘safe pair of hands’ Cooper and Gary ‘no nonsense’ Rowett.

The fact is you can make calculated risks on up and coming managers based on proper research. Which is the club’s job. Which it doesn’t do.

I’m not clued up either, but the club should be. Loads of managers are better than Martin, but if they do absolutely no scouting in the lower leagues or abroad then we’ll never know who they are until they are picked up by Brighton or Bournemouth. Well-run clubs take risks on young managers who haven’t reached their ceiling yet.

Yes I know I’m a broken record but being in League One is not the excuse for hiring Martin. People were making similar arguments for not attracting good managers in the Championship, even in the PL.

The club seems to think they above scouting lower divisions now. :(

If we going to appoint twxt faced Russell, why would we be looking at selling vesty, surely he would be idea in a sideway/ backward /slow passing playing style. There are some element of Percy article just don’t make any sense, but said this is Top/Rudkin managing this process

If you consider what we know.

Thai's wont lose face on depreciating assets.

We incapable of moving players on.
Top likely sees Vesty and Winks as two of our best players because of their ability to pass the ball.  (I think Vesty is much better than Winks at this).

So tie this in with that Top is obsessed with a way of playing, he has looked for a manager to fit some players he cant get rid off, and just keep kicking that tippy tappy can down the road in the mean time.

Where’s the low ball offer coming from? He’s started in 1 Championship win since November and his attitude stinks. No PL team is going to touch him or, I doubt, any club with promotion aspirations. That just leaves clubs who can’t afford him.

The only chance he goes is if we buy out his contract but his agent isn’t going to entertain that unless he’s got somewhere for him to go as a free agent.

In the EPL he made himself known as a EFL player, opponents often identified him as a weakness, as he just went missing without the ball, and kept losing possession, just not enough quality, but unlike other players no work ethic, strength, height, toughness to compensate.

  7. I tried to use an AI generator image, but no go, it seems to just find existing pics of the net.

So imagine this.  The dream team.

                                                             Top

                                      <------arm------      ------arm----->

                                    Vestergaard Martin Winks

They play completely different systems though, it’s not even as if Martin is poundshop Maresca. Enzo’s teams are far more assertive and he always tried to promote individual talent.

Im not a fan of Enzo's style but I recognise he does get the respect of the players more and then they buy into his system, which probably translates to your observation, it felt professional under Enzo.  I expect a factor in Enzo's hasty exit is he knew the squad wasnt really capable of the style.
Martin on the other hand when it starts going wrong just starts demonising players.

Probably picked him because he can do the 3 fist pumps to the fans “yeah yeah yeah” when they win like they all do now

    Its how naive they are

They picked him for style of football, Top is in his own little world, distanced from everything.
We need a new owner more than anything, everything else is just broken for as long as Top is here, including style of play and manager preference.

The thought of Martin being in charge is seriously depressing.

If he happens to do well results wise it's still going to be turgid football with an arrogant manager I'd sooner see failing somewhere else. It's not going to be fun either way.

Its not unsurprising, we will just keep being run the same way, and chase the same style of football for as long as Top is the owner and Rudkin is his lapdog.

Do some rudimentary googling and chatgpt and see the reports on the Thai property market.

Institutional Thai investors would rather a block of apartments go to rack and ruin, unused, unloved,. unwanted....than admit they overpaid and sitting on a dud. Sound familiar?

Administration and the club forcibly removed from this imbecile is the only way out of this mess.

Its how they have handled player assets as well, selling at a loss would have been an admittance book value is too high, so instead they let them rot and expire.

No I’m sorry, this doesn’t wash.

There is no way something like this happens and continues to happen organically. This is not just about business decisions or knowledge. Normally there would be some urgency from people who are employed to steer the ship. There would be input from experts. There would be statements or something to show people you care. Movement of some kind. A change in policy or attitude compared to previous years.

Top has intentionally removed anyone of that mindset and has, it seems, demanded to be the one in charge. He is not trying. Trying would be saying, ‘look you guys who know about football, sort this out and sort it out quick’.

The charity match propaganda is further evidence that everything is about saving face and not about trying your best for the football club. It’s intentional. Stop sympathising with this guy, to treat this club with such a lack of care suggests he’s not a good bloke. He may look like an overgrown child but he’s a grown man with no respect.

Well if its accepted he hasnt got a clue, then it doesnt matter how much he wants to fix it, we will just see failure.
Also when I say fix it, he probably sees the problem that needs fixing as a different problem, which is again about his lack of ability and decisiveness.

I expect the fix for top is "we promote".

Top only has 3 viable options

    1: sell

2 : pump in more money probably from his own personal wealth

3:: pray for.a miracle of biblical proportions like 2016

Whilst 3 was seen as the great escape, it always felt that the team simply wasnt quite clicking, there was good structure behind the scenes.

#2 it just prolongs the pain, and his losses.

#1 is what we waiting for.
