Not the same though is it, Selles was sacked because he took a team that was relatively successful last year to not even win a game.

Southampton were on a downward spiral like us but have had decent investment in the summer.

We're in the league on a downward spiral and ALSO had no investment.

We'll be having the same conversation about the new manager in a month, so what's the point? Will the same useless wasters on the pitch either way. Rather focus on getting rid of them in Jan.

This bloke is a perfect example of what's wrong with this club at the moment. The quicker we get rid the better.

I really can't put into words how much this team upsets me. I've been a supporter since a child and I just don't respect them at all, the downfall is so unbelievable. I can respect a few individuals that really try their best, like James, Fatawu and Ricardo. It does honestly upset me that they may not think we support them, the triers. But the likes of Kristiansen, Soumare, Faes, they really get to me. I can't wait for this era of our history to be over.

That bloody tactic of Thomas passing it to the opposition and then making virtually no effort to recover

I could accept the squad excuse if we were in the Premier League but we’re playing against worse squads, less resources, pretty much every game and they are still taking points off us. Portsmouth were missing three good players ffs.

 

We haven’t played well for a full game this season. The fact we’re 4th isn’t an achievement, we’ve won 4 games and 2 of those were against promoted teams. 

How about for a start virtually every team in the division has at least 1 striker (if not 2) who's contributed at least double the output of our entire set of strikers together. 

From winger perspective Fatawu the obvious standout with Monga being a standout youth lad but to say he's close to being the best option in the league would be premature. Mavididi's lost it for about a season and a half now. So again (Fatawu aside) there's a long line of wingers in the league that have a better output than ours.

Our starting midfield is reasonably strong tbf from a quality stand point (despite some motivation questions over Winks), but when you've got serial failures Soumare and Skipp at best to come off the bench, you're in trouble.

Only decent player in defence we've got is Ricardo, the rest are poor.

GK wise, Jakub again is ok but there's other keepers in the league performing better.

So I ask who exactly is it that makes our squad so be far above anyone else? We got absolutely slaughtered in the premier league for a reason and the team is much weaker now than even then.

Must be getting the champions league and championship confused again thinking we need more club trained players

2 things to say based on some of the comments in this thread:

1. I can see why people wouldn't want to go because I've really had to force myself to go to the last few, but the more people decide it's not worth going the higher the percentage of "casuals" are in attendance so obviously it's going to be harder to get any sort of protest/chanting going. It doesn't work both ways.

2. I really am baffled at how some players are still being defended against criticism. It doesn't take away from anything a player has done in the past to point out that they are simply not good enough at this present time. Vardy as a big example is as useless as everyone else at the moment and should be criticised, he doesn't play for us as a favour, he isn't being forced. There's not a single player in our whole first team squad who deserves any credit from anyone at the moment, so stop giving it to them.

It was a reasonable performance but only in comparison to some of the rubbish we've been served up lately. Players still aren't good enough, don't do enough to make the most of good opportunities.
