I will ask Fox Leisure Files on instagram who has a lot of material.

Hi there, thanks for flagging Ric

I use that account on insta

@kushiro I’ve got a copy of the Sheff Wed home programme from the 8th March 03. Is there any specific pages/elements you’re after.? I can scan them and email them across tomorrow

  2. Interesting to see Andrew Neville on the train up to Hull just now. Lots city fans chanting Rudkin out or Rudkin is a paedo.

I so wanted to ask him a ton of questions but it was clear he didn’t want to talk or be recognised with his phone fixed to his face. You wouldn’t think especially at this time he’d be on a train knowing it would be full of fans.

  3. I was hugely excited by the signing of Soumare with his glowing rep from stats focussed journalists/sites. Most in the know seemed to think he would be a huge hit however he’s just looked completely lost and out of his depth bar a few moments of quality to me.

Surprised to see so many Twitter accounts disappointed we are happy to sell. Yes given another year he could improve but if not it could be another Adrien Silva (accept he was way older) experience of gradually losing value and paying him off etc.

I hear you, I'd all but cancelled yesterday.

Then thought about how wounded I'd be to miss out because of a new variant. I'm double jabbed, seem to find 3 or 4 masks every time in my coat pocket, going on a limited budget and keeping my wits about me.

Some things just can't be missed.

One week from now you'll be glad you went.

Know exactly what you are saying. I don’t fly back until Saturday and will miss the Sunday game plus a family get together.

One day I’m saying sod it, the next I’m going. Got all the paperwork sorted, just the test on Monday. But it’s four days away from the missus and daily hassle in Leicester. Plus staying in Rome which I know really well.

    FI, I’m going!

Thanks for the genuine responses. I’m going with my dad in his late 60s, so that has been playing on my mind but he’s had his booster an such.

I suppose we can’t hide from Covid forever and as ppl have said just be sensible. Most ppl in every country are decent, just have to try and avoid the small idiot minority. Won’t be out getting smashed at night so fingers crossed, want to see the Maradona murials and sample the food etc.

Thanks for the positivity, it’s convinced me and the old man to go 🦊

  5. Slightly anxious about the whole thought of this trip now with the variant and the chance of trouble there.

How are others feeling? I’m hoping to get out early in the day prior to the game to see some of the sites but is even that not worth the risk?

Keen not to miss us playing in such an iconic fixture, as who would of thought we’d be playing Napoli 10 years ago but the whole worry definitely makes me think is it worth it.

  6. I emailed the ticket office last week. They said the usual, been in discussion with Napoli for weeks and we hope the post info soon.

The did confirm we will definitely get an allocation though. I was slightly worried what with Covid and having already booked flights etc.

I’m sure lots of those who’ve had difficulties with the ticket office in the past would be interested to know we’ve had tickets EMAILED to us for this game. The e ticket doesn’t have the full name listed. Therefore no collection of physical ticket etc

Hopefully they will do the same and use common sense for Naples. The club need to appreciate the number of hoops and effort fans are jumping through already rather than adding another nuisance.

Which ones? Any recommendations? Last game at Norwich before Covid there was only some dive over the river which was more of a live band venue run by the Uni. Horrendous place.

I’ve enjoyed a few pints in Plasterers Arms, The Ribs of Beef and The Kings Head on previous visits. All have a good beer selection and are about half an hour walk from the ground.
