Everyone is of course entitled to their own opinions. They're not, however, entitled to their own facts. Sometimes, the Earth is an oblate spheroid, the Universe is somewhere around 14 billion years old and Ade Akinbiyi is the biggest waste of 5 million quid outside of decisions made in the Houses of Parliament.

A talking shop is mostly fine. Sometimes it isn't, and sometimes, due to various factors, it's actually lethally counterproductive.

Oh well you win again with your wise words of wisdom. I'm wrong again of course, as usual.

I'll carry on taking personal control of my health and I'll see where that gets me. You of course can continue to read out the narrative set by these people in power. It's weird isn't though, if the message was about personal health, exercise and wellbeing then we perhaps wouldn't need these huge pharma companies half as much and imagine the money we could spend on other things in life, especially now. Not gonna happen though is it, we got shareholders to think about.

What’s frustrating about this statement is that it’s my view in the same way that it’s also my view that an isosceles triangle is a type of triangle.

Don't be frustrated man, people are different and will always look at things differently. I don't happen to trust these companies pushing these drugs, that's all. If you do then fine. Take it easy and good night

I feel like this has been discussed thousands upon thousands of times, but it comes down to this: Any heart risk (short term or long term) from having a vaccination is less than the heart risk from getting Covid unvaccinated - which is as good as inevitable given that deniers would not be careful about Covid by your very nature.

Ok cool I'm ok with that view. It's not mine, but hey-ho

Yea that famous scientist Matt Le Tissier. If you read the article, Bridgen has been claiming these things without any evidence to support it, just like the grifting scientists who are jumping on the bandwagon.

So you're not interested in even looking at any potential risks with mNRA? Seems odd that you'd give free passes to some of the most corrupt companies on the planet. Tbh I'm not that fussed anymore, negative thinking takes up too much time.

    Interesting heaven

There was a time, not that long ago that if you coughed in a pub then you'd feel the whole bar look at you. Or you'd have stick something down your throat to make sure you were allowed out, but let's not even go there. Merry Christmas :D

I watched it recently too, quite enjoyed it. I understand what you mean about your life, I think you're probably fine though 🤣

You're probably right as I'm still alive haha! But sometimes I do think these guys and other nutcases do live Iife to the absolute max.

don't believe in reincarnation but if it were to exist I think I'd like come back as a surfer in Hawaii, just work behind a bar and ride stupid size waves for my whole life 😁

Ancient Apocalypse on Netflix, presented by Graham Hancock.  8 x 30 minute episodes.  I've read a few of his books, which go into quite a lot more detail then this series, but still worth a watch.  Intriguing subject matter.

I really enjoyed this. I know it's controversial but it's also dangerous now apparently 🤣

  8. Booked flights to Bari in Italy next year. Planning on doing a few nights in Matera in the Basilicata region, then on to the Valle d'Itria in the heart of the Puglia. Hopefully find a nice little house to stay in, close to the lovely little towns there. Not been in year's and already looking forward to it.

  9. My  Missus dragged me there a few weeks ago to watch an Agatha Christie play called Black Coffee. It was my first time in any Theatre and I really enjoyed it. We plan to go back when something else interesting comes on. Nice venue with lots of charm.

Years ago I had a Ford Cortina broken into one afternoon up there whilst picking someone up from the station. They ripped out a graphic equaliser. I was only away from the car for about ten minutes.

No doubt one of many tales up there over the years. A graphic equaliser though, must of been gutting losing that.

He grew up in Leicester and often talks us up. That’s reason enough to think he’s more than ok!

Yeah I forget that. Maybe he should come back and do a series in our city. I park my van on Nelson Street every night and believe me there's plenty of wildlife up there, especially after dark.

  12. I've done around 100 Joe Rogan Podcasts covering all sorts of subjects but his latest one is up there with the best. He speaks to Graham Hancock and Randell Carlson about their new Netflix Documentary series Ancient Apocalypse. They also talk about the Younger Dryas impact hypothesis which is fascinating. Will dive in to the Netflix series asap.

I'd like to know what the guy is saying because I am most interested, I just don't want to pay him for the privilege of what is tantamount to abusing his platform.

I think that what Lomberg says has at least some merit because yes, there are a great many plates spinning right now and so we have to try to deal with them all at once. However, this problem is the biggest of the lot in terms of overall impact and it simply isn't being addressed enough right now. The records of increasing temperatures and the consequences of them show this clearly.

NB. Don't worry about articulation - you put your points across in a way that is easily understood and that is all that matters. My snark is directed purely at the arguments that folks like Rogan put across, not the way that they're delivered here. Additionally, science communication needs to reach all people, and perhaps communicators might take a lesson from these popular peddlers of "sceptical" information on that.

Joe Rogan questions Bjørn all the way through, it's not a love in at all. You can't complain he's giving people a platform if they genuinely have something to say.

He had Matt Walsh on this week and I'd say 60% of the podcast they we're disagreeing on things. Certainly not what the MSM would have you think of the pair of them. Anyway it's a shame you can't spare a few hours to listen as I do value what you say, even if you think I don't.

Don't particularly want to give someone like Rogan the ad revenue through clicks.

Any chance of a cliff notes version no doubt containing arguments that can be easily debunked for the benefit of those here?

Bizarre that you'd not want to even listen but fair enough.

You pretty much know how Bjørn Lomborg thinks as you debunked him on here before. Basically what I hear is that he believes in climate change and that we have to do something about it. But, we shouldn't throw everything at it as there are many things that need to be done in the world. I'm not the best at articulating things as you know that's why I posted the link. I found it fascinating tbh.
