Assumed that was sarcastic, but there they are, being completely reasonable and offering two sides to some arguments? Is that even allowed? ...on the other hand I can't not mention 'Newcastle are a bunch of decent footballers playing without confidence. The exact opposite of leicester'. Can you imagine how good we'd be if we had a team as decent as that Newcastle squad we're 39 points ahead of. Such a shame they've had this 2 year lull in confidence.

The guy in the first post says their team is just as good man for man. Then in the team he lists, Drinkwater is compared to Cattermole. Actual Lee Cattermole.

Don't let the mail bamboozle you. Including us, that's 6 out of 23 seasons, so more than a quarter of seasons were just as- HOLD ON. NONE OF THEM WENT ON TO WIN?! Ranieri out. Chelsea sacked him for finishing 2nd. Why are we any less than them.

The trouble with 7th is, having finished 14th last year and 21st the year before, we'd run a strong risk of finishing 0th next year and I'm not sure anyone knows what would happen.

It is pretty great to see we're even getting into this conversation. but that doesn't mean that Sky article can't annoy me. "Southampton were second this time last year but ended up finishing seventh. Leicester will surely go the same way..." Firstly, incredibly minor point, but after 13 games Southampton were 3rd. Less minor point, we aren't 2nd! And we're certainly not 7 points off the top like they were. On the other hand Newcastle were 9th this time last year, so it'll be funny to see Liverpool collapse and nearly get relegated.

But then you'd be left with 'Club' all alone in a massive cell. Might look a bit odd.

At least we're not alone in the 'Lawro has no idea we employ footballers' club. He's got West Ham in the relegation zone, 4 points off 17th. He's picked them to lose 9/13 so far! Pretty sure he won't predict us another win til we play them again.

If our weakest link is 'rarely making the starting XI' that sounds like a good thing to me.

This table also doesn't account for the fact that we were comfortably outspent by 5 of those teams the previous season as well. And as far as I can tell we only outspent Burnley by whatever Dean Hammond cost.

Hey guys. I'm a lifelong (albeit only 24 years) Fox, currently living among the Magpies. Really looking forward to being back in the prem, but especially excited to be able to talk LCFC regularly since the first time I left school and went north.
