  1. What the fvck is our bizarre fetish with Russell martin about?!? That style of football is horrible and we literally won the prem playing opposite to it and if you ever make to the prem then unless you are the Top 6 with 100s million to spend it wont end well.

£15m and back on loan to us for the season please

Dont even think that would be useful to us, technically he is probs better than 99.9% of league 1 players but will get absolutely bodied/bullied currently in that league at his age as we saw in the championship when he was largely ineffective or missing in games.

This deal needs to be heavily incentivised, money for England appearance, cup wins, appearances etc etc - so this deal keeps on paying us if he reaches his potential

Dream on we got Rudkin at the wheel. Best we will get is a signed monga shirt and box of chocolates every year.

Sorry but Scott Parker isn't dropping down to League 1.

Come on now lets be realistic.

toxic ownership aside we are a huge club and hes hardly a world class manager.  We would still be the biggest and most successful club hes ever managed in modern times and next year we will likely be in the championship again.

A success at every club he has managed so far in his career, at least one promotion with every club, used to not having a lot of money to spend, majority of his seasons at clubs have ended up with the club in the playoff places, his sides always out perform where they should be

I also asked ai and they said “I’d liken Dave Challinor most closely to Antonio Conte, but at EFL level — with a bit of Diego Simeone’s edge in mentality.

  6. So reading between the lines on the new rules its basically lose lose for top. If he doesnt inject his own cash injection into the club so we can spend 65% of it on transfers we might not go back up and the club will continue to de value.

so its either king power lose money by cash injection or king power lose money by staying in league 1.

So its best for all parties for Top to just sell us to a happy go lucky billionaire mr top.

The more I look into Dick Schreuder the more I'm sold.

I have so many reservations about firstly our capacity to even get him, but if he did sign, massive reservations about our squad being able to play his way, or our capacity to bring in the players he would need to build his style.
But if he did manage to get our lot playing his system, we would absolutely destroy this division. League one teams simply wouldn't have the capacity to keep track and pick up the right man, he builds his attacks from chaos and I just cannot see L1 teams being able to defend against it.

I'm not sure he's my #1 target, but my god he would be fun to have as manager. Plus, a season at a lower level would give him a little bit of breathing room to properly rebuild and get a full season of his style bedded in should we go back up. If we are going to gamble on this kind of appointment, now is the time to do it.

This where im at. If you want to implement a specific style then this is the season 100%. we will be favourites and rightly so regardless of how bad last year was. So a manager “could” walk this league and give him a seasons breather before the championship.

Id personally rather a specific style, tactics and identity rather than your Coopers, RVN and Rowetts of this world. Everyone bought into Maresca and look where they got us. Just hope we dont go for that style again.

Dom Ballards record for Leyton Orient merits a look when we go searching for a striker.  Never watched him to know if he's any good....but you can't knock the stats this season for a team fighting relegation.

I know quite a few orient fans and they say he can go up to the top and they are surprised they even got him as was highly regarded in england youth setup.

  9. I just want a manager with a clear football identity, style and tactics. That we never got with Cooper, Marti and Rowett. The last person with that was Enzo and he was hugely influential and won us the league. Now i dont want that style ever again but there is plenty more out there and there is plenty of managers or younger managers that will drop a league for a season to implement this.

  10. Other than some English experience… We just need a bunch of cheap unknown kante and mahrez’s that would struggle in england if they came straight the way in the higher divisions (mahrez) but turn out to be elite after a couple of seasons.

now this is possible if we had Stevie Walsh and co back in charge of scouting but maybe not now.

With James McCarron in place, it would be no surprise if 1-2 signings come in from Man City.

If we get shut of Mavididi, I can see Emilio Lawrence(Currently on loan at Luton) potentially being the replacement.

I see no point in developing other teams players in league 1. Just develop what weve got with quality experience in tha league around them.

I don't think Top has got any money to throw at the club.  The King Power brand has to be sustained first before money can be spent on play things. And KP don't appear to be especially flush right now.

Didn't the commentator mention last night that we received £100m in TV money last season.  Next season it will be £2m.  Last season our wage bill was £150m, League One average wage bill is £9m.

The finances are dire.  Any saleable asset will be gone and Souttar will be close to top of the list.

Needs to sell just to a billionaire, Top and king power has too much money to lose now.

  13. Time for top do a dirty dodgy saudi deal for £50 million.. im sure favours can happen for some duty free or polo business
