RVN credentials were better than Enzo’s when he arrived…. Also better than Coopers…. And no one had an issues with either of them joining initially.
I would argue he’s ready now for a new challenge…. He’s proven that he is a more than capable manager, and is very tactically astute….. he’s an advocaat (pun intended). Of youth players….
He doesn’t lack experience, he’s had a couple of top jobs and has done really well. He’s also got bags of coaching experience.
He’s an upgrade on Cooper that’s for sure, and isn’t that the point?
If he's anything like Advocaat then if things start well , it could snowball from there

I think the Potter issue is the money still owed to him by Chelsea.
He'd have to lose a big chunk of cash to rip up that contract or we'd have to make up that shortfall.
Let Chelsea keep on paying him, the cnuts😆

Always had RL on the way home until we lost the signal on my dad's car around Market Harborough/ Kettering area in the day.
Thanks Nev , you were great 💙

West Ham defense has been very poor in this game. There are gaps everywhere since the first minute. Newcastle are just playing with this nervy urgency which rarely results in goals. No methodical at all.
I think they defended quite well after the initial newcastle attempts.
Closed down well and moved the ball very well.
Newcastle should have had a pen though

Top away numbers on a Monday night as well from West Ham 👏👏👏

West Ham have a decent side , they are better than their current position.
No point in thinking West Ham could be a relegation rival.
Will stay up easy

So it's definitely not Moyes or Potter
But it might be RVN or Carlos
Is that about right?
-
Totally agree with the Forest comments.
If you do a good job , the rivalry is pretty soon forgotten about.
Crikey, I'm even old enough to remember the abuse Speedie got after signing, but he soon won the Leicester fans over , with some great goals and committed performances

Really not convinced about RVN
Has a love affair with Utd and couldn't have wished for a better set of fixtures during his brief spell.
Most people on here could have guided that Utd side to victory in the 2 homes games v Leicester.
We were about as much use as a reggae band at a KKK dinner and dance

I think a lot of fans care when a manager does a great job then leaves.
Nature of the beast
I was gutted when MON left as it was a fantastic era.
A better opportunity comes up but that means they've done well at your club and the club is in a better place wether it's league position or value of the squad.
I'd happily take a few years of what Brighton have had

Problem with RVN is he’ll see us as a stepping stone, he could well do a great job but then snapped up as the big 6 merri-go-round continues which would leave us stuffed again. I like the idea of Moyes, wanted him years ago when he was at Preston & we went for Taylor. I think he would steady the ship but more importantly, stick around.
Who cares?
There's levels throughout football and most managers and players want to test themselves at the best club they can.

Which would point to Moyes but I can't see it ending well and it'd have to be short term
Like many, I want to see us have a go but still be steady at the back.
Cooper did none of this, so I'm just delighted they've changed things whilst there's still time

He’s “only” 21 as well. He is playing lower, but so was Daka last year and got 7 in 20. I think he would certainly hold his own.
It makes supporting Leicester exciting again! Haha. At least for the evening! 🎉
I was going to stay in but it's pub o'clock now🍺🍾🍾

Got to be RvN for me
Can you explain your reasons for this?
I'm not convinced by him but he's young with some fresh ideas , but it would seem a risk.
We just need to stay up, even if it's not pretty to watch

Cannon has 8 in 14 this season.
Ayew has rescued us some points this season already.
I'm not against bringing Cannon back and giving him a go.
But he's playing at a lower level and scored 4 in 1 game.
Just heard the news 👏🍺🍾

Yep, I think we are the worst coached team in the league by some distance.
But think our squad is better than saints and Ipswich, I wouldnt take many of their players.
I disagree
Only our goalkeeper and a loan player from Brighton show real quality week in week out.
Our back 4 are awful , Faes is a clown most weeks, midfield slow and not creative.
Daka can't trap a rabbit, Cannon hasn't shown enough, Ayew isn't great and was surplus at a club we seem to think we're better than.
Eduard looks like he's running in treacle, so it's just our greatest ever , that's chasing long balls against 3 defenders, that gives us any hope.
A different coach would give us hope and get a better tune out of the squad , for sure, but it definitely needs to happen

Southampton have far more about them than us , same with Ipswich.
We're easily the worst side in the league.
Our only hope is a change of management 🤞

Okay. Let's watch it play out. Cooper inept. Dismissed and replaced by a new face. Same squad. Let us see how he gets on. You may be right and it is really easy. I have my doubts but am happy to be proved wrong.
We've seen it loads of times where a new manager comes in , gets players motivated and comfortable in their positions.
It doesn’t always work, but we have to take that chance , as this bloke will definitely take us down.

The pitch side angle of our goal show so obviously that neither of Soumare's challenges are fouls. Tough guy Morsy in particular folded like a deck chair
On the one hand , I like their fans appealing for everything, shows they're not looking at their phones and are totally into the match.
On the other, they're still moaning about how it was an injustice and how corrupt the Prem is.
Surely now , after the game, they should have a more balanced view of it.
My mate ( who's 60) was messaging up to last night, still crying about it😄
Penalty or not , McKenna massively fecked up by not subbing Phillips earlier when the game was getting a bit more physical in the central areas.
A lot of nice things have been said about McKenna and he's done a fantastic job, no doubt.
Saturday, he made an error of judgement, which probably cost them 2 points
11 on the pitch and I'm fairly sure Ipswich would have seen it out

He needs to get the team to work far harder than they're currently doing.
Mavididi is a prime example of someone that comes on as a sub , loses possession, then gently jogs after the player that's mugged him.
If he worked as hard as Vardy and Facundo, he'd be a far better player , and we're going to need him
