  1. I think we're in this. Some silly shots but the ball was doing plenty.
  2. Good start as it's swinging around corners. Wickets everywhere else.
  3. Look on the bright side. The bowlers have been given a lot of rest due to the power of the batting line up. A few years ago they were back out their toiling after a session and a bit as we were getting skittled far too regularly and they were getting knackered, and then injured, as a result.
  4. Two winning draws away from home, one away against basically an international 11 and on neither occasion having to bowl twice. Ok the pitches have been roads but we are competing well. If we had lost at The Oval as expected and won here other than the assumed draw we'd be no better off in regard to points. Our batting unit have all contributed. So chill out.
  5. I reckon we can get the same kind of score as at The Oval and put them under pressure on day 4.
  6. Deliberately aiming for a bit of rough that was leading to serious turn, hence the wides. It was the only chance of forcing a win.
  7. The value young players attribute to playing with a decent overseas player is always something missing in the argument against.
  8. The way Cox was standing back suggests Hull's pace is some distance above the speed gun. There's rain about. They are the best team in the country depth and experience wise by a mile. I left quite happy we ground down 2 bowling points. One big partnership, some rain and who knows, we may get an unexpected draw after a bad first game. Not all bad by any stretch.
  9. We can't afford someone leaking runs after a build of pressure.
  10. Seemed to be a semi decent crowd yesterday considering the weather
  11. They've had little luck. Beaten the bat countless times to go with too much loose stuff.
  12. Singh obviously nervous. Beats the bat three times two no balls 2 full tosses.
  13. A lot rests on Holland and Green but we also have Scriven and Rehan can hold an end despite zero turn.
  14. No Hull Wood and Singh both play
  15. Hants, Sussex and Yorks should also be targets to take something from.
