Plenty of village cricket clubs do the same thing. We have and the takings have sky rocketed. I don't see why you can't do it on a much bigger level. I also think our fan base is unique. The club could really lean into that.

We have a cult following that is bigger than people think. And more vociferous than any team in the county game by a country mile. My Middlesex mate didn't know what to think about it. Why did Sky station Dagnall next to us for the innings break interview after that points deduction? Didn't really get his patter off the ground did he!

George Dobell is a class act. I'd think it would have been Hants, Yorks, Surrey and potentially the Welsh Whingers. All have Hundred money to burn on lawyers and were in the mix for the drop. Essex on the other hand are one of us.

I'd bring in Budinger for Rishi until Hants are mathematically relegated. I'm sure he's totally professional and comes across like a really sensible bloke but he's moving there next year. Take him out of any hint of playing with a conflict of interest for his and our own benefits.
