  1. I do apologise if this has been discussed elsewhere. I find myself in Spain right now.. Keen to watch the game later. Is it possible from here ? Anyone know how? Obviously I can do the stream thing but I would have thought there were legal options as well? DF
  2. Both teams play in a different style... Ings is about the only striker in the premier league right now who could be a like for like replacement for Vardy and I'd sign him up in a flash if he was ever available. There are no cogs in out machine that I'd replace with Southampton players aside from that right now - but then Saints fans might well say the same the other way around..
  3. Didn't he score against Sheffield United in the Carabao to much frivolity?
  4. There were a couple of interviews he gave at the end of last season where he looked absolutely knackered and I found myself wondering if he'd fully recovered from the Covid he'd had. This season, he's looking and sounding much better again. Really considered interview that he gave post-match yesterday.
  5. SO - tonight the game is being shown on FaceBook Watch (whatever that is)… Any idea if it'll be shown in the Stags Head? Sean
  6. Margins though isn't it? I don't think we played that badly against Burnley. Had one of our efforts gone in or Vards scored the penalty, we'd have been praising the team for turning things around and putting on a solid show. I didn't see much different with Burnley away than I saw at Brighton or Crystal Palace away - just we came out on the right side of the result and our fans were happy. Keep the faith.. It'll come good..
  7. As another Sean (though not from Enderby), it is all a bit embarrassing isn't it? Have you seen his tagline thingy? 'The sluts go nuts' - WTF??
  8. I'm sure I recall an interview in which he said that he wanted to be at home with his wife and family - because his wife (and him) had gone through something of an emotional rollercoaster since the Tunisia holiday horrors... Felt for him and thought what a thoroughly top bloke - something we all know for sure now...
  9. I thought the Feed The Scousers chant was pure cringe and embarrassing last night. Let's face it - Leicester is hardly the most affluent of cities and it's a crying shame that we're happy in chanting about the poverty that's experienced in another town!! Worse still was the crowd near to me who thought it funny to sing 'Is this a foodbank' to the tune of 'is this a library'. Foodbanks - places where people go to get food when they can't afford to buy food in other places - pretty decent places set up because people care.. Not sure why we feel comfortable turning that into a chant
  10. My partner, who knows sod all about football, did mention the other day that Jonny Evans deserves a chant.. have to say I agreed with her on that front.. thoughts on the solid, under-rated part of our centre back partnership..
  11. Thought he did what any striker should do.. got the ball over the line.. he didn’t know if any defender was behind him.. these commentators are making something out of nothing..
  12. I’d be pissed off listening to Gary Neville’s comments if I was a Man City fan.. FFS, could he show his love for the reds anymore... and we think we get bad commentators..
  13. His interview on MOTD suggests he wants regular top 6 football - but he thinks he’ll get it at Leicester.
  14. And a Leicester connection... Did Dave actually spend some time studying at DMU? Or did he just miss all of the lectures like he references on the album??
  15. Stuff on the pitch was pretty solid last night - lots of positives and it’s all been mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Was it just me or did the club drop a couple of balls giving the overall impression of being a tad tinpot? Queues outside before kick-off suggested that the west stand wasn’t as well resourced as it should have been. Drinks/food queues in the concourse barely moved. It was as if the club knew the ground was only going to be half-full so only put on half of the required staff in the full stand. And the state of the floodlights? The Atalan
  16. Anyone know if the Stags Head can show the pre-season game against Scunthorpe tonight? It's on LCFC TV but I'd rather watch it with some fellow foxes..
  17. I’m not going to link to it on here but the new sports team at Leicestershire Live have started well.. Apparently we ‘out-thought’ both Spurs and Man United for Tielemans signing.. Class typo...
  18. I'll be heading down on Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. Haven't been since the Dolly Parton year when a coked-up teenager knocked me to the floor as he marched on by twisting my knee in the process. I'm hoping the same doesn't happen this year and denying the obvious fact that I'm too old for such shenanigans... Will be sure to check out the Leicester based acts on the line up - that'll be Easy Life and Mahalia from what I know.. sure there must be others as well..
  19. I'm living in London now - will have to try out The Stags Head at some point.. Does it show all LCFC games or just the ones that are on the telly?
  20. Your Mum gave you a girlfriend?? That surely goes beyond the duty of parental responsibility?
  21. Sort of linked to this.. There was a moment in the first half when Hamza was down in the away fan corner and he seemed to bite at something that was shouted by an Arsenal fan... He definitely turned around and then looked like he mentioned something to the linesman. I briefly wondered at the time if it had been something out of order from an Arsenal fan... And thought it probably was.. What's the betting that the same Gooner caveman has tried to pre-empt any complaint coming his way by raking some of this up? It's the way that they work when they have chips on their sho
  22. It just hurts doesn’t it? Newport fought for everything and we didn’t. Not many players coming out of that with credit but to my mind, Iheanacho should never play for us again . Our ponderous build up play is all because there was zilch intelligent movement or desire from him. I’m not blaming Puel for that one. That was about five or six players not being up for it. Football can be a shite game sometimes..
  23. I’ll always remember the Porto game when a young fool sat behind me shouted out with no sense of irony & a genuine misunderstanding of European geography.. ‘**** off back to Spain you twats’..
  24. Those moaning about how playing Mendy, N’Didi and Hamza in a midfield three would be too defensive were clearly not watching the tactical changes today.. There was impressive fluidity - with tactical nous today. You’re all too fixed in obvious formations.
