Does he give a shit though , where else would he get the wages we pay

Maybe, hopefully these lot have a relegation wage drop clause.

Either way he is 30 years old, earned a fortune in his life so staying in an unhealthy situation with a club in turmoil makes no sense. I cant see him staying at all but if he does, I wouldnt mind it as at that level he will no doubt boss midfields.

  2. He loves anyone who doesnt give the ball away.

People mention Winks in here. I know he is on a good contract but he must be a muppet if he stays at a club where he had a pop at the fans, where we have been hammering him and he is playing in Englands 3rd tier. Surely he can get a Championship club.  Its so funny to think that a year and a half ago he was still being spoken about for England!!

  3. I cant see how he will want a regular spot at a prem club, he hardly tore it up for us last season.

Potential, absolutely. However, I can see a prem club buying him for 10-15m from us (on the cheap) and make the decision whether to do what Liverpool did with Nyoni and get him trained with the academy or even loan him out to a Championship club at best.

We cant expect to add too much pressure on someone so young. Like all our kids, I wish they somehow end up staying as we have a talented bunch. It`ll be for me one of the biggest kicks in teeth if we have to sell youngsters.

Anyone watching the Wales v Ghana game Ayew was actually playing well upfront for Ghana he was also playing with a smile on his face. Makes you wonder what went on behind the scenes at Leicester.

He is now is joint most appearances for Ghana and will no doubt be most capped soon, 2nd top scorer in their history and is going to the World cup. His abilities have always been limited but at 34 after the season he has had, I would also be walking around beaming thinking Im off to the World Cup.

    Ghanas strikers most be shockers

  5. To be honest I blame the club more than I do the player.

He scored 14 in 111 for Marseille as a youngster. 9 in 51 for Villa and 8 in 50 for Swansea in his mid 20s, and for most of his peak age at Palace scored 21 in 175. What did anyone truly expect from this donkey?! He is over the hill, a free transfer and his legs have gone so to me having a pop at him is like having a go at an OAP.

Another Turkey of a signing from the decision makers.

  6. I love this bloke to death but I always feel sorry for him LOL. Today, a few months away from his 40th birthday he as usual ,made some cracking runs but hasnt the players to play him the pass. About 5 times he made angled runs but isnt playing with the quality to see the pass early. He had his moments with us with Mahrez, Drinkwater and less so Tieleman and Madders but you do wonder how many goals he would have scored if he did a Harry Kane and fudged off to someone who fed him with plenty of chances.

He is without doubt the best finisher I have ever seen live and IMO our best ever player.

  7. He had a shocking start, lost his place, was booed in those early games. He got back in and IMO has delivered at least a 7/10 performances in the latter part of the season. Unfortunately for Mads, whilst he has found decent form he has some real horrible defenders in front of him and not much better in midfield.

  8. He looks silky on the ball, reminds me a little bit like Alan Hansen. If he grows up to be half as good we will have a decent player on our hands.

However, like most of the youngsters that have come in to our team in recent years whether on loan in the first team, they have been under-par.

I remember reading something that Arsene Wenger wrote about bringing in "wonderkids" into the team too early, you have every chance of ruining them by putting high expectations. Page, Monga and Nelson havent joined some happy bunch but they have been expected to win us points straight away which is too much to expect.

Nelson will be a decent player but lets cut the lad some slack. I understand many are upset in the club but lets not turn on one of our youth players

  9. I think this group is so devoid of confidence that any appointment would need to be a worldie level manager to wake this lot up.

If you are a player who is playing for our club and thought they would be Premier League players next season, only to be on the brink of the third tier, along with huge financial constraints, a fan base thats turned on the club and a manager who was an uninspired choice, then we should expect what we are getting.

I cant see any of our players being beaming like cheshire cats when Rowett was appointed.

I`d get rid now and get someone with L1 in mind and a rebuild.

  10. Confidence is a massive thing for a player like Mavididi but the facts are i think he has scored two goals and had one assist in Englands 2nd tier, playing in a position that he needs to be scoring double figures and creating plenty. Fatawu who many have been moaning isnt MOM every game on the other wing has 9 goals and 7 assists. Those stats highlight how poor Mavididi has been. Running around and looking all action with no end product at this level isnt good enough.

  11. Oh dear, even though its seems someones finally pulled their fingers out of their backsides and got some structure and bodies in place, its the type of post none of us want to read as it does mean Top isn't going nowhere.

I know the protests will continue but with these additions in club structure, Top aint for leaving even with a continued protests IMO. His TV interview stated "We need to get help for John(Rudkin), when I saw that I knew we were buggered. Since his father died and other trusted senior people left, it seems he only trusts Rudkin and still believes in him.

I may be in the minority here but with the people announcement. I think we pivot and pull all energies in the players and trying to stay up. It will be disastrous if this group goes down as we lose some of our best youngsters. You can tell the players are feeling the pressure and hating the situation that they are in as it all feels very toxic. There isnt much smiling going on at the club which is Ironic when you think of our anthem!!

  12. Its so frustrating. Riccardo gifts them a goal. We then finally showed some quality by battling back, equalizing and for a while looked the better team before we get a man sent off. From that point it seemed like its only a matter of time before the oppo got a winner.

We seemed to be doomed whatever we do.

We need a new manager to get us ready for next season starting now.

  13. I live in Hertfordshire (Broxbourne) and the Missus dragged me to the Crown last night, saying "lets walk and feed the ducks" along the canal on the way and leave the car home so we can have a few. About 3 mins into the walk it started pissing down and we were drenched in the 15 min walk to the pub. The Ducks got fed some delightful sloppy bread as we walked there and we had 5/10 food and 6/10 beer LOL. At least they had the log fires burning!

Its actually a nice pub in the Spring/Summer with plenty of outdoor seating but as pub goes, its terrible.

I pop up to Leicester a few times a year to watch football but the plan is to drag the missus there for the first time. What would you say were the best pubs about, food, vibe etc?

  14. I moved out of Leicester to London when I was 20 so about 32 years ago now. I try to pop up to watch the odd game with my brother and catch up with school mates 2/3 times a year.

I am no expert but to me the place has changed a bit, but you can say most Towns and Citys up and down the country have deteriorated beyond recognition. I have never known so much mental health related issues in people down here in Hertfordshire and over the years in my job I have seen many places go down the absolute pan. I dont get the feeling that Leicester has gone "that bad" when comparing to London, Luton, Bournemouth which are three locations I used to go to for work that have completely changed or the worse.

In my experience albeit limited these days, Leicester wouldnt be anywhere near as bad as some shithouses around this country.

  15. I disagree with the statement if I am honest.

We finished 5th.5th and then 8th and won the FA Cup. This was all a few seasons after winning the prem. We played Champions League and were regulars in Europe. We also managed to get relegated with players such as Tielemans, Barnes, KDH, Ndidi and Madison, Vards. JJ, Caglar, Riccardo P,

We had plenty more Prem standard players and started the season with an established manager in Brendan Rodgers, who for all the hatred in the end was a decent manager but messed up with the group.

There is no way any of us would have though we would get relegated the first time around. We Royally messed up but the manager and especially the players ballsed things up, not the owner. What happened after is arguably mismanagement but that group was to blame.

  16. I`d go for passing from the back, maybe a spot of Counter attack. Champions of England........

I think we need to learn that we have to pay to our strengths. This passing it about from the GK makes me panic, especially as the ball heads for some of our slow coach midfielders with someone bearing down on their backs.

We need to be a bit more pacey with the ball and look forward. I also want to see lots more movement. Those running stats that I saw somewhere the other week that we run the least of any team in the league was worrying. A new manager needs to get these lot running. We just need to be 6-0 up though as you know the tank will be running on empty for the 2nd half.
