Is that Purdy at QB? What happened to Garropalo and the other star QB they had who was injured the whole of last season?
Jimmy G went to Vegas, and Trey Lance (3rd overall pick) was just traded to Dallas. Lance was going to be third string.

They had the Man City one from the weekend and the Wolves from the first game of the season. The other 4 were ones that were all deemed to be correct.
Havertz v United (pen overturned)
Zaroury v Man City (yellow upgraded)
VVD v Newcastle (Red upheld)
Egan v Man City (Handball upheld)
Replay of it here, if you missed it on TV.

barely. cant believe he gave a yellow for it
Winks angry that the Hull player stuck a foot at him, once he hit the ground? Yellow for dissent was my guess.

Worth a try providing game not shown in the USA. May be check that first.
Today is the day to try- it is the first league match not shown on ESPN+ thus far. I’ll buy buying the single game pass for the occasion.

The opening match v Coventry is scheduled to be on ESPN+.
As are all three of Sunday's matches ... gives me hope that ESPN will stream a larger number of Championship matches than they have the last couple of years.
I'd really like to get feedback from a couple of you "early adopters" before I commit nearly 200 bucks to stream via lcfc.com.
I’ve generally been happy with their FA Cup coverage in recent years, and been happy to keep ESPN+ over that time for all different sports- NHL, NCAA, MLB, etc. Will stick with it this season, too.
ESPN does seem to publish their TV fixtures through the end of August, and it looks like the Huddersfield match is also on ESPN+, but the next few matchweeks feature other clubs.

One other perk of ESPN+ is access to all premium content from their writers. Not as much for soccer, but for their best NFL and MLB content, if you like that sort of thing.

It’s the best league in the world so absolutely. Will probably root for Man City to win it all.
How do people watch Championship games in the US?
ESPN+ has the rights, just as they do for FA Cup and League Cup. They don't show every match a la NBC/Peacock, but beggars can't be choosers...

+1 for York Tap. Not appealing at first glance as a station pub, but the selection is outstanding.

Glad that Danny Higginbotham is an occasional guest on our coverage here. Can speak to things going on beyond the popular clubs for Americans. Spitting some truth here, starting at 7:30 (David Ornstein was on right before him).

Flew over from the states to see today’s match, first ever trip to the KP. Will do my best to avoid pessimism prior to kickoff.

Picked a heck of a first match to attend.

May need a good post-match pub, the way this is likely to go…

Traditionally they lift the trophy so wont be any backlash. I think other sports like the NBA are presented to the owners first. I suppose without the owners there would be no team.
I know there are fans in the US who dont like the owners getting presented the trophy....but that's the way it is.
Yup, we're just used to it. MLB and NBA are the same way. Stanley Cup gets presented to the team captain, but then again, most owners aren't lacing up skates for a trophy presentation.

Doubtful…Lance also 3rd string in Dallas for now. Dak’s contract up is after next season. Dallas should be good this year, but if not, Lance may have an opportunity if a new staff comes in down the road. But then again, with Jerry Jones at the helm, anything can happen.
