  1. Yes, performances are night and day better than under GON simply because VP is getting the players to do the basic things right and mad stuff like standing where he tells them to, rather than chaos box tactics. Not here to gloat about the win, but clearly a shot in the arm for Wolves and Utd were barely better. We are nowhere near being out of the woods yet and need defensive reinforcements early Jan having not replaced Kilman, Mosquera being out for the season and old father time catching up with Craig Dawson. Good to see Everton being dragged back in to the mix and possibly Palace, but it is still 2 from 4/5 and more probably 3, with Saints gone. I don't see the new Everton owners keeping Dyche long which could go one of two ways.
  2. Incompetence, inconsistency I get but corruption? I don't get it and I said the same when Wolves were on the receiving end of the long sequence of bizarre VAR calls What's the grand plan? Why would the powers that be want to deliberately advantage / disadvantage either of our two teams.? In fairness I also don't understand why it is not 3 games. Mind you the FA seem to make these things up as they go along. Wolves fans know we have been dealt a good hand this time, but still time for our footballing genius chairman Jeff Shi to sell Cunha in January.
  3. 8 years not 10 and nothing particularly dodgy just ultimately ineffective and costly. Fosun basically wanted to use Gestifute/Mendes to fasttrack success. Nothing that any other club could not have done. Then the Chinese govt clamped down on flow of money overseas, Fosun changed to a strategy of balancing the p & l with as little investment as possible, hence our slide back to relegation candidates. Plus, as much as we got Nuno, Neves, Moutinho and Patricio, Neto et al, you end up with an ever decreasing pool of players to move around Gestifute associated clubs, so get the flotsam.
  4. Lol - all joking aside, I can't be bothered with streaming, no moral high ground, just find them more pain than they are worth. Also - after last year, I am personally at saturation point with live football on TV. So real thing or nothing for a while bar highlights. Admittedly Wolves doing their best to turn every game into a borefest didn;t help
  5. Hence why I wrote "bost" - broken - obviously got lost in translation between East and West Mids
  6. Neto is bost atm, Trincao hasn't fully settled in yet, and Traore is cough...."mercurial" (see also cack - depending on your viewpoint)
  7. A Saturday 3pm kick-off, there's a novel idea, I wonder if it will catch on... Anyway from a Wolves perspective, I'm pretty pessimistic about our chances. There are roughly two trains of thought around the Mol at the moment, either Fosun / Mendes are going to spring into action with a raft of signings from nowhere by the end of the transfer window or Bruno Lage has been thrown under the bus. Strange to get rid of Nuno on the basis of wanting to play more expansive football, bring in someone they think can do that, listen to his plans and then not fund/support them. The weaknesses from past transfer windows haven't been addressed - i.e. CB to allow solid 4-4-2, CM to support Moutinho's ageing legs and let Neves play higher up the pitch and a CF. Not quite sure of Fosun's intentions at the moment, from basically copying King Power's approach in building fan relationships, it's gone a bit meh.. recently. Maybe as an investment company they are being cautious in the pandemic. Pre-season bar a few green shoots of a new system has been underwhelming and nothing to make you stand up and say we are going in to this game confident. 2-0 to Leicester would be my prediction, sadly from my point of view and the only reason I am clinging to otherwise is that is also Lawro's prediction. Great to see Raul back fit, hope he returns the player he was and intrigued to see what Trincao adds. Sadly no ticket for me, so will be playing golf at Cosby and seeing what joy or despair my notifications bring.
  8. Lol Missed the sarcasm 😀 Vitinha might be the next one off the Mendes production line at Wolves
  9. Neto is pretty much a shoe in for POTS at Wolves. There's a fair amount of nervousness around our fans of Neto moving on like Jota if not this summer then next. Biased opinion incoming but he has a much higher ceiling than Perez imo.
  10. From a Wolves perspective: A fair result, Silva should have scored, Raul would have scored, and Jose could have scored were he still on. A slightly less ring rusty Vardy scores his chance and you leave with all 3. Comments on Leicester - Chaudury played well and Justin is different class, already on a par with Chilwell imo (and Shaw for that matter). Maddison had an off day by his standards On Wolves, Neto is improving game by game. Traore was normal - i.e. 50% frustrating to watch and 50% unplayable. Justin had him worked out by the second half though - i.e. let him run turbo quick into the corner and then stand him up as we don't get enough players into the box at the moment. Leics do that's the difference but our defence was mostly good, Semedo's brain farts aside. Silva is either an inspired punt for the future or we have done cash-strapped Porto a favour. No argument with comments that we are dull to watch at present. Wolves are trying to reinstall version 1.0 from 18-19 and 19-20, and having Jonny back from ACL is a massive boost. I will take 4 from 6 from Leics and Arsenal all day long. We came back after lockdown inconsistent, and have gradually got poorer as the games have gone by. Things are starting to improve though.
