Not much to say really. I was pointed out by stewards and willingly was escorted out of the stadium with no fuss.

Well done - in some ways it might be seen as a distastefull thing to do but still, well done!

I have long thought that the only means we have of encouraging Top to sell up and move out is to ensure that his continued involvement with the club becomes a cause of great embarrassment to him back in Thailand.

This helps towards that, better effect though if there had been a few hundred others with Cambodian flags at a televised match

Anything less than expulsion would have been a bit of a disgrace tbh.

At first my reaction was very much looking at it from Boro's point of view. Like, realistically I don't think it'll have made much difference and Boro lost pretty much on merit. They weren't good enough on the day. I don't think they frankly deserve to be in the final.

But when you take them out of it and you look at it as Southampton vs the framework of the law, this isn't something they've accidentally fallen foul of. They've actively gone out of their way to willingly and willfully ignore the rules. They know they're cheating in the most literal terms and they've done it anyway and not just once.

When you frame it like that, I'm sorry, but they need to be punished and quite strongly.

This pretty much represents my own views except that, for me, it's immaterial how much Southampton may have actually gained from their spying activities, the fact is that they hoped or expected to obtain an advantage by means which are against the rules of the EFL and that is why their actions merit these sanctions.

That's a ridiculous comment to aim at a player just out of the Academy

It isn't 12 months though it's more like 6 months to save the club, I can't see us being midtable or lower next season and making a resurgence, we need an Enzo type start next season to save us from sinking further still.

Seems to me we need an Enzo on the pitch and an Enzo in the Boardroom.

Maybe even a spare Enzo to sort out everywhere else....

I have a gut feeling that we might be okay IF we are utterly ruthless in summer. We have quite a few players that are on relatively low wages that could do a decent job at that level, Evans, Page, Aluko, Nelson (probably will be sold but can’t see clubs clamouring to take him right now) Alves, Braybrooke, Silko, Maybe Golding and Marcal (1 year extension?) finally get a chance.

As I've said previously on here, the players you list I would expect to be the players they would aim to sell because they represent pure profit in accounting terms..

I think they will want to rely on low cost "experienced" players at every opportunity.

    Really hope I'm wrong........

I would have thought that the likes of Braybrooke, Alves, Hutchinson, etc will all get snapped up by so called bigger clubs and at bargain prices.

Relying on "youth" is all very well in theory, but I'm  really  not expecting us to be able to hang on to the most promising of our academy players

Can't imagine that the tourist industry in Thailand is prospering at the moment which suggests that King Power - already apparently in a difficult position financially- are heading into even more challenging times. That being the case they're unlikely to be in a position to continue providing the financial support we will need, I can see us reaching that point very quickly if we were to be relegated.

Does it follow from that that they will immediately be willing to sell us? - I don't necessarily think that it does. I can see Top hanging on to the bitter end or until Administrators take matters out of his hands.

No chance. Anyone left from this squad won't have what it takes to fight in that league.

And what I've seen, the youngsters we have are great, but need a bit of leadership and experience around them to thrive.

We're in deeper trouble than some people realise.

The only ones that won't mind are the "back the lads", thermos and sandwhiches crowd, who will turn up and clap regardless. Fair play to them, but think we could (and should) do better as a club.

Are they really expecting us to buy season tickets ???

    Really ????

Ive got used to the digital tickets , and im 55!

The searches just labels us all as thugs and probably epitomises everything wrong with football in general.

    Me too, and I'm 75!

But I object to being searched too, I'm hardly likely to cause trouble at my age am I!

It’s a fabulous facility but you sit down and consider the pure lack of business acumen to go that big, even where we were at the time, you realise the disregard of the long term future of the club to massage egos.

I was working in S.E. Asia when Seagrave opened when it was being described locally as a centre of excellence open to all promising talent from the region as a route into European professional football.

I don't believe Vichai ever intended it to be solely for LCFC use - hence the size / hotel accommodation etc.

In fact now thinking back, I remember a lot of local news about a Thai youth team staying there for a few days intensive training

Might buy a Thai flag and use the white bit to write something like “KP - no longer fit for purpose”

I liked the idea someone posted a couple of days ago - get a load of Cambodia flags to wave inside the stadium.

Given how close Tops family is to the Royal family / ruling powers in Thailand, that would really hit home and hurt their pride.

If top was clever, hed get Pearson in and tell him to rebuild the club from the top down. If that means rudkins gone and we Pearson can find his own boss then so be it.

Only way to make Leicester great again

Absolutely agree. Trouble is,  the reason it will never happen is contained in your first four words....

    So we're absolving Rodgers now?

By that logic, we can also absolve Rudkin as Top employs him.

    Interesting point.

Can you actually be sure that Rudkin isn't simply being required to follow Top's instructions?

Would certainly explain why Top hasn't  fired him - if he'd tried to fire Rudkin, Top would have ended up having to take responsibility and fire himself when Rudkin took them to an industrial tribunal

The sun article correctly points out a one match boycott wont achieve much, this needs to happen every home game now until he is gone.

    Challenging but true.

Can only speak for myself but I have no intention of attending matches for the foreseeable future under this regime  - I'm going 'non league instead!

Anyone going to this match is as bad as any other part of the club right now and can follow KP out the door.

Think that's a bit extreme - I've only seen talk of a boycott of the match here on Foxtalk so this has to be publicised far more widely if a boycott is to have any chance of a meaningful effect.

As it stands, a majority of the fanbase will have never heard of any planned boycott

As next in line replacement for Skipp or James then I'd expect him to get 10-15 appearances between now and the end of the season. I don't think his development is stunted by that over playing every game for Newport, although Cifuentes has not managed to get a single player to prosper bar possibly James so perhaps you're right there 😂

Don't often disawith you Rick but I do this time.

Sammy has been at Newport only since the start of this season and although he's doing well, that's not really long enough to get the full benefit in furthering his development in my opinion.  If we were able to do so, I'd give him another 3 months at Newport or in Division 1 and then consider a recall if to do so would bring him close to selection for our first team

Undecided. Loved him obviously, I never knew any kind of success before him (grew up in the Pleat era) but I’m not sure even he could do anything with this lot. On the other hand I’d be really intrigued to find out, he couldn’t do any worse could he?

No he probably couldn't do any worse but, for me, the main thing is I have the feeling that it would all be enormously entertaining watching him get to grips with some of the characters in our team. With Rudkin too.....

This year is a write off, we'll be better off staying in championship another year. Use it to deal with the PSR, get rid of the toxic players and finally gain some stability.

Promotion obviously brings tremendous financial advantages but would  be fairly pointless unless we also remove and replace the useless senior management who got us into this position in the first place.

We can't have confidence that they wouldn't simply make all the same mistakes again
