I took the fact that an additional 1500 season tickets had later been put on sale as further evidence of our severe financial plight and of the need to generate as much additional revenue as possible in advance of the season starting. The necessary cash to support essential or even the basic day-to-day expenditure just doesn’t seem to be there. You wonder, how long can this continue?

As has been said previously on another thread, I will reserve judgement on this signing when we know who else is being brought it

What Happened Next: Foxes Trust End Of Season Survey
Nickaj replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
An important decision yes but it is the Trust Committee - or a section thereof - who are attempting to engage with the club and who are therefore in the best position to judge the quality and the attentiveness of the club’s response both in general and on specific issues.. I would support any decision of the Trust Board to disengage from discussions with the club if they should decide that the club are failing to treat our discussions with the seriousness required or they deserve. Members of the Trust Board are elected by members to take such decisions on behalf of the membership and are themselves subject to re-election in the future should they fail to adequately represent our interests. Hopefully such drastic action will never prove to be necessary but, if it ever is, I don’t think we should be afraid to call a halt to all fan engagement with the club. -
Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager
Nickaj replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
After all his efforts to recruit Martin - and over such an extended period of time covering 3 / 4 seasons, - do you honestly believe Top would sack him inside four months of his arrival? If we “fall out of the play off positions” as you put it, Martin will simply plead the need for patience and Top will absolutely lap it up and double down on this appointment keeping him in place to avoid more loss of face. Honestly, Martin’ s for the foreseeable future…….. -
Russell Martin - Confirmed as First Team Manager

Not for me it wouldn't be, no. That scenario just seems to me to be rather unlikely. -
A 7 day rolling contract would be as far as I would be prepared to go for this joker. And then I'd have to be in a generous mood !!
-
He hasn't, he still thinks he's a competent football manager. As for the people employing him..........
-
Well done - in some ways it might be seen as a distastefull thing to do but still, well done! I have long thought that the only means we have of encouraging Top to sell up and move out is to ensure that his continued involvement with the club becomes a cause of great embarrassment to him back in Thailand. This helps towards that, better effect though if there had been a few hundred others with Cambodian flags at a televised match

My brother, who lives in Arbroath and is an Aberdeen season ticket holder, tells me that the word up there is that you're right
-
This pretty much represents my own views except that, for me, it's immaterial how much Southampton may have actually gained from their spying activities, the fact is that they hoped or expected to obtain an advantage by means which are against the rules of the EFL and that is why their actions merit these sanctions.

That's a ridiculous comment to aim at a player just out of the Academy
-
Seems to me we need an Enzo on the pitch and an Enzo in the Boardroom. Maybe even a spare Enzo to sort out everywhere else....

Relegation, League 1, financial implications
Nickaj replied to splinterdream's topic in Leicester City Forum
As I've said previously on here, the players you list I would expect to be the players they would aim to sell because they represent pure profit in accounting terms.. I think they will want to rely on low cost "experienced" players at every opportunity. Really hope I'm wrong........ -
I would have thought that the likes of Braybrooke, Alves, Hutchinson, etc will all get snapped up by so called bigger clubs and at bargain prices. Relying on "youth" is all very well in theory, but I'm really not expecting us to be able to hang on to the most promising of our academy players
-
Can't imagine that the tourist industry in Thailand is prospering at the moment which suggests that King Power - already apparently in a difficult position financially- are heading into even more challenging times. That being the case they're unlikely to be in a position to continue providing the financial support we will need, I can see us reaching that point very quickly if we were to be relegated. Does it follow from that that they will immediately be willing to sell us? - I don't necessarily think that it does. I can see Top hanging on to the bitter end or until Administrators take matters out of his hands.
-
Are they really expecting us to buy season tickets ??? Really ????
-
Me too, and I'm 75! But I object to being searched too, I'm hardly likely to cause trouble at my age am I!

I was working in S.E. Asia when Seagrave opened when it was being described locally as a centre of excellence open to all promising talent from the region as a route into European professional football. I don't believe Vichai ever intended it to be solely for LCFC use - hence the size / hotel accommodation etc. In fact now thinking back, I remember a lot of local news about a Thai youth team staying there for a few days intensive training
-
I liked the idea someone posted a couple of days ago - get a load of Cambodia flags to wave inside the stadium. Given how close Tops family is to the Royal family / ruling powers in Thailand, that would really hit home and hurt their pride.
-
Top will make sure he isn't in England to see it, he'll stay in Thailand and pretend it's not happening
-
Absolutely agree. Trouble is, the reason it will never happen is contained in your first four words....
-
Interesting point. Can you actually be sure that Rudkin isn't simply being required to follow Top's instructions? Would certainly explain why Top hasn't fired him - if he'd tried to fire Rudkin, Top would have ended up having to take responsibility and fire himself when Rudkin took them to an industrial tribunal
-
Shouldn't think so for a moment, you really can't expect our Board - such as it is - to move that quickly.
-
Challenging but true. Can only speak for myself but I have no intention of attending matches for the foreseeable future under this regime - I'm going 'non league instead!
-
Think that's a bit extreme - I've only seen talk of a boycott of the match here on Foxtalk so this has to be publicised far more widely if a boycott is to have any chance of a meaningful effect. As it stands, a majority of the fanbase will have never heard of any planned boycott
