  1. Thank you Deb. You was one that really stood out and made me feel like I wasn't alone with it. I'm forever grateful
  2. Just wanted to bump this thread and provide an update. I've just been going through my PayPal transactions and it brought a tear to my eye remembering the incredible generosity of you amazing people. After struggling for a long time amd being in quite a dark place I'm pleased to say my life has taken a huge upturn. I'm in a relationship with a wonderful lady. My relationship with my ex partner is excellent and we're working toward having 50/50 custody of the kids. My decision to stay local to my children really was the correct one despite the initial hardship. I regularly try to help out the homeless people in my area now as I've seen how quickly that life can become a reality I know I've said it before but I can't put into words what it meant to me to have the support and help from you lot. If there's ever anyway way to repay you or even if you'd like the money returned please let me know as it'd be a pleasure. Thanks again
  3. Is this gonna be the title of the Season review dvd in the club store?
  4. Just wanted to check in and give a little update. After going through the hardest 6 months/year of my life I can honestly say that I have hope for a happy future. I still have the occasional down day but find them much more manageable recently. I feel content with the shared accommodation I'm living in and it almost feels like home now. My relationship with my kids is great and I've really been putting in the graft at work which has been recognised and rewarded. Once again I just want to thank everyone on here who helped me with kind words and donations to keep me alive basically. I'll always appreciate it. For the people on here struggling currently, please believe me when I say there's always a way back from rock bottom. I feel like hitting it in some way is quite liberating as you can genuinely say you've survived when it seemed impossible.
  5. Yeah I must admit I've not been eating too well. Lost 7lbs in just over a week
  6. Thank you Deb! Not gonna lie the life of shared accommodation is going to take some getting used to! I'm trying to spend as much time at work as possible at the moment. Mainly to earn enough money to eventually start renting a place of my own but also just to not spend time there. Still in a far better place than I was last week though so not complaining. Thank you for asking
  7. Yes thanks mate. Moved into a room in a shared accommodation place. Not far from work and close to the train station so I can see the kids. Still feel a bit fragile but slowly building myself back up.
  8. Yeah should be alright thanks mate. Haven't been too hungry anyway with this heat
  9. Update! This morning I have secured myself a room in a shared accommodation less than a 20 minute walk away from my workplace and train station so I can see my kids. Thanks to the unbelievable generosity on here I've been able to put down a deposit and pay a few weeks rent to see me through until payday. I know I've said it already but thank you all so much for helping me to carry on
  10. No matter where it comes from mate it's still incredibly generous to give to a stranger like that. Get emotional everytime I read a post like this. Yet again mate, thank you so much
  11. Thank you mate that's so generous. And I will keep you all updated. Back to work later which will also help my mental state.

  14. Thank you. I genuinely have no idea if their are such places in Norfolk
  15. Yeah I've been desperate to stay close to work and my kids. I could go and stay with family back in Leicester but would only create longer term problems for me. Yeah its a relationship breakup which was entirely my fault Yeah I'm already covered in them as it is haha
  16. Really appreciate that mate. Yeah I'm not gonna be picky whatsoever, just needs to be somewhere to rest my head at night. I will keep you posted pal
  17. Ran out of rep points but thank you mate. And yes @The People's Hero has been an absolute lifesaver for me today along with many others
  18. Thanks to this amazing place things are looking a lot brighter. I've got viewings tomorrow for shared accommodation and will be able to put down a deposit if successful. Thanks mate
  19. I just wanted to say a massive thank you to everybody that has dragged me off the floor today. You honestly don't know what you've done for me. I started the day with no hope and only posted on here for advice as I used FT for most things I'm not sure about. I end the day with hope and a determination to get my life back on track. It really has reaffirmed to me what I already thought. This football forum is an incredible place with some truly special human beings. Whether it be something like today or the depression thread, gambling addiction etc. I hope one day I can repay the favour to everyone that has helped me or anybody in need From the bottom of my heart I thank you all
  20. Thank you mate. Honestly feel a million times better. Found a hotel for the night and then have viewings for a couple of shared accommodations tomorrow. Also seen my kids which has spurred me on

  23. I sincerely hope you are all rewarded with your football club winning another trophy this season
