  1. Does he need to be told that getting the fans onside from the get go is vital ... by being over cautious, defensive, slow build up type of football will be received like a bucket of cold sick  .... needs to be fast expansive football to have any chance of winning the fans over

What concerns me is he thinks energy has to come from the 'fans' no, just ****ing no. If you want energy to come from the fans then give us something exciting to watch, it we are watching the team pass it back to the keeper from a corner, or Janick standing still, rightly there aint going to be any 'energy'

Exactly that ... fans pay to be entertained not put into a coma

MK Dons didn’t get promoted after he left. They lost in the play offs then the following season were relegated. He joined MK Dons as a newly promoted team, mid season, made them mid table then left. He obviously did alright there considering next season is MK Dons first season back in the third tier.

I don’t want Martin but, from the outside, he did fine at MK Dons.

Why on earth are we being compared with MK Don's.... or is that really how far we have fell

Hmm. We didn’t. We were paying inflated wages for bad performers. We made no signings, apart from Lascelles on a 6 month free. A PL budget would have been brining in some top talent.

Squad will be decimated this time around, so we have to be bringing people in and will have to embrace the academy. RM wouldn’t be considering it if he didn’t get some assurances we will be dabbling some how.

Wages wise the budget says  we were paying for premiership players ... no doubt about it .... if the job was that attractive he would snap their hands off .... obviously if has to consider it ..... there must be some doubt about the so called assurances

    Well not my choice, but...

    1. In order to attract someone like RM we must have an excellent budget for L1. Otherwise he wouldn't come here, & would rather take his chances once the season starts & the firings begin in the higher leagues.

    2. The players that we bring in at this level should be receptive to his methods. Unlike the dross of recent years who thought they were too big time for our managers of recent past.

    3. Has a good record with youth. Which will be vital for us in the coming years - regardless of the leagues we are in.

    4. After the shuttle crash at Rangers, will be desperate to succeed.

    5. Only 40. A baby in managerial terms. He still has his career ahead of him & plenty of scope for personal development. Let's hope he starts to realise his potential with us.

    6. Nice hair & beard (as a beard guy - v important).

    7. Missus.

1 we had a premiership budget for the championship last season .... look how that ended

2 Can we be certain any new manager will have a full say in player purchasing.... I think not

3 Good record with youth .... enlighten me

4 Rangers far to big for him .... well out of his depth

5 Personal development under Top and Rudkin.... do me a favour

6 Says more about you than him  😂

    7  The only positive

  6. Surely above all else King power need and want to get the fans back on side .... Happy fans = happy income into the club ..... if they can't see we need a manager who plays fast attacking football then all hope is gone .... I kept hearing a name mentioned lots of times every game last season .... the name was Jesus christ .... got to be worth a look at surely

Russell Martin has been stealing a living for years, just because he uses "modern football" buzzwords and "plays the right way" (piddles around at the back).

MK Dons - did nothing, midtable finish.

Swansea - did nothing, midtable finish.

Southampton Year One - came 4th in a three horse race but won the playoffs, which is used as the great justification for his supposed talent.

Southampton Year Two - on course to be the worst Premier League team in history before being fired.

Rangers - had the Ibrox fans basically building a guillotine for him and gnashing their teeth.

There literally has to be a manual somewhere on how to make a fortune by bleeding gullible owners dry:

    1. Say the word "bravery" a lot.

    2. Use phrases like "the group", "synergy", and "colaberation".

    3. When you lose games, passive aggressively blame the players so that the owners know it was the players not taking your amazing instructions on board.

    4. When confronted with your diabolical record, put on a show of principles by saying "I believe in playing the right way, and will stand by that."

As a fan of a club (Wycombe) who fell for another example of this manager (Mike Dodds) you have my commiserations in advance.

Let's be honest Top and Rudkin are so gullible they will believe any bullsh1t he tells them ..... look at the players purchased over the past 5 years .... more of a donkey sanctuary than a football club ... just be ..... Russell the leader of the donkey squad

    Ugh.

I mean, a manager's efficiency is easily judged isn't it? Look at his last two tenures.

Track record has TOTAL FAILURE all over it ..... another scape goat for Rudin and Top

  9. Seems to me ... he is either using the connection to us to force some other clubs hand into employing him .... he absolutely desperate for any job ..... or more likely as I suspect ... Rudkin and Top haven't got a clue ..... would love a look at Martins CV ... must be an amazing read

There have hardly been any at all for the past few months. TalkSport Bet were apparently running one for a bit, but I think it was the only one. Possibly Bet Victor at one point too. The rest haven't touched us.

Reason being .... we are a rudderless league 1 team ...  nobody gives a fu*k .... we aren’t news anymore

    Yeah, can't argue with that.

Local news here today says Notts County have already signed three promising new players. Which goes to everyone's point.... get a fuching move on!!!

They have no urgency in their DNA so the concept of getting a move on is alien to them .... they are probably so deluded the actually think the have to do little or nothing as promotion is a certantity ... which sadly the past few seasons proves is not quite the case

Realistically, It would be good to get someone in on June 15th.

    Transfer window opens then.

Contracts run out on June 30th, so gives a couple of weeks planning etc.

more than likely won't happen though

Of course it won't.... that would show they have a plan .... which I doubt very much
