Fringe players need to be let go or virtually give away .... have to offload this excess baggage .... if we are promoted they will have no part to play anyway as they made no impact last season ....

Lost the plot 2nd half .... certain penalty not given .... and 2 deflections for their goal ... but would have took a draw before kick off
-
Great win ... but we need to learn how to kill teams off ... we have the quality to do it ... and the opposition know at some stage we will definitely give them a chance for a way back into the game

No matter what or where they are now they all have relegation on their CV
-
All those that leave due to being relegated... Will forever have relegated on their CV and if they ever play at the KP again they need reminding of that ... there is still some deadwood to go ... and if they were premiership standard... the club would still be in it ....

When you think about all of the shite managers we have employed it makes the brain hurt ... Tater was up there with many many others
-
Winning ugly and grinding out results is the only way out of this league .... need a 20 goal striker and once Coady is fit we will have the team to take us up
-
Always going to be a difficult opening game ... but grinding out results in this league is as important as performance...
-
At last ... someone has found the cheque book .... a great start but a few more would be good ...

This is the first visit we have made to this message board since posting the original link, so we are not ignoring comments made to date but have just read through them all and while we can't answer so many viewpoints, we will post again within the next few days
Obviously waiting for permission from KP board and approval of wording

Phil Neville has been sacked by Miami, 10 defeats in 13
He will defiantly be in the running
Sounds like our sort of CV

Playing devils advocate he did give Rodgers a brand new 5 and a half year contract (yes thing we’re rosy at the time) but it was the start of cracks appearing, making him bigger than the club with far too much control and unaffordable to sack (until things got so desperate).Problem with that contract .... Top didn't do his homework .... after 3 seasons he shows of losing his focus and teams form dips as at previous clubs .... the writing was on the wall .... but Rudkin and Whelan were standing in front of it

Rudkin is so insidious. Everything he touches is shit, you'd think the academy would at least flourish given his links with it - nope. Villa blokes in on trial for the academy, successive relegations, and a lack of first minutes for our best prospects.
Huth has done a sports directorship course, he's already at the club, he'd have a strong contacts book, he's a winner and he has high standards. **** Rudkin off and promote him.
Very very true ... if you have ever watched the u21s ... its the same football as the 1st team .... hence the same result ... not coincidence

Me neither but close to reality I think- however iv never known a club to shed 10-15 of their 1st team squad in 1 summer - this situation is so unique with so many that would supposedly be to to good for the championship and have interest from top level teams here and abroad
Many of these players shed the club months ago
-
The club will be very tactical on who moves where I'm sure ... but they also need to remember with the massive loss of revenue the fan base importance will need to be respected .... another thing that is pissing me off is the amount of people on here constantly reminding of what we have achieved in the past 10 years... something I'm sure we are all very proud of ... but in my opinion the higher you set the bar .. the higher you need to jump

Not high up on the list ... but Lee Carsley the England under 21s manager could be worth a look at .. no much league experience but good pedigree
-
Mostly agree ... we have very good owners ... the major difference has been the man in the chair making the ultimate decisions... this has been the problem dither and delay has cost us dearly ... they the board,Top and playing staff must be extremely nieve not to expect any grief after the season they have just served up on a deaf dumb and blind level
-
Nothing for Amartey ... or are we still waiting for a few awards to be announced ..... Awards ffs ....they need to stop digging now the hole they are in is big enough
-
To keep the spirits up and hopeful let's have some decent rumours or even a few fibs

No rumors, no links, nothing?
So quiet thought there would have been some sort of statement thanking Smith and Co for their efforts or something.
Surely even our board know the importance of sorting this quickly.
Think we need a decent rumour to keep us fresh and hopeful ....

Don’t agree with what? So you think that us winning the league in 2016 was down to the owners 27million pound investment in the squad?
What won the title passion, desire, fight, team playing for each other, club, manager and fans ... not money ... spot the difference to the current
