  1. True but Im talking about the players we released
  2. You say that but we are talking about a club that has to watch every penny most of the players they let go last season like Davis would only have been on around 25-28k a season Stirling will pick up at least 10k just for playing a couple of matches .it's a gamble
  3. we have trimmed the squad but the players we let go apart from maybe Lilley would all have been on low wages so the saving wouldn't have been a great deal we also no longer have the Stuart Broad ECB income which netted a few grand every year
  4. Time will tell on that one £440k losses last year and that was in a year that Inc a Tom Jones concert and an Eng ladies match which will be higher this year its a real gamble if we make the qf then it will have payed off
  5. Who knows imagine we are paying Currie salary in full considering he's on loan for the season same with Holland not sure about the Somerset boys
  6. Not sure you need to eat humble pie with Mike we all know he has talent which he shows on odd occasions but for the most part he's a liability . Hope he can kick on and found some consistency but not sure he will
  7. Liam Trevekis almost fit so doubt if we will keep Goldsworthy
  8. No Neesham just signed for T20 Rahane championship and one day cup
  9. That's a very good question considering we lost £440k last year and it's likely to be even more in the next financial year. Jarvis said last year that signing Rahane would attract the Indian fan base suspect he will be proved wrong. Neesham great player and of course a fantastic signing on paper but will be a risky signing if we don't reach at least the qf but hopefully he's the final part of the jigsaw
  10. Did anyone on here ever watch Mick Duffy play and if so was he really that bad, Watched him play for Oadby in the early 1990s and he was class at that level despite being 3 stone overweight
  11. They would have got full houses for Tendulkar he's a god in India but sadly you are correct Rahane won't attract any more Indian supporters though the gate
  12. Be nice if you attended games when it wasn't free though Bert the club needs every penny it can get
  13. What about Salisbury Walker or Keith Richards sorry mean Chris Wright?
  14. That's fair enough but find it hard to believe that if someone's a football and cricket fan they will pay £50 to watch a 90 minuite match but won't pay £20 to watch a full day's cricket
  15. No sadly not and never will be not sure its because of price though .Regarding football not many clubs outside the PL get close to full houses
  16. Free to Leicester members
  17. When you think you don't get much change out of £50 to go a football match and it's around a tenner to watch Friar Lane don't seem that bad
  18. Yep totally possible.I wonder how much the club will benefit financially if this happens.Patel came from the Essex academy so they will receive a fee every time he plays for England Ahmed was at Notts until he was 14 so no idea who benefits financially out of that one while Hull not really too much of an academy product he's a cambridge boy who joined the club when he was 16/17 following a recommendation from Dean Headley at Stamford school. Noticed the Norhants Commentator called him a former Northants player on comms so guess he was at there academy at some stage
  19. Why will he be unavailable?
  20. Patel signed a new contract last season also. Regarding Ahmed now he's got a central contract basically he's not really a Leicestershire player the ECB pay his salary in full and he can only play when they say so
  21. Not too much Hull Patel Ahmed don't see us losing any more plus imagine we will be just about the only side fielding 2 OS players again
  22. So you were one of the 18 the commentator must have mentioned that fact every 5 minutes
  23. While Rehan Ahmed has a central contract he will be going nowhere can't think of a single instance when a player moved clubs when centrally contacted
  24. Dennis Amiss due to speak at the cricket society in the winter better get the drug testers on standby
  25. Must be a Warwickshire thing Paul Smith Keith Piper Ed Giddins Dermot Reeve now Chris Wright
