  1. We could do Arsenal a favour with either of 2 positions in Pepe but preferably giving Saliba an opportunity. Work out a loan to buy option where they can get a decent fee which we obviously only need to take up if we think he's worth it. So maybe 20ish for Saliba. Or 25ish for Pepe if we went with him. Personally would prefer Saliba. And given Arteta doesn't want him at all, could drive the price down further. Suppose it depends what Marseille would be willing to pay.

  2. Until he sees what Newcastle will pay!

Really we’d need to be making him the priority and letting him know that whilst hoping the others, Newcastle especially, make him just feel like another option they’re perusing.

  3. You need buyers, that’s the issue. Hopefully a promoted team takes a punt on some of the fringe players and we get decent offers for some of the better ones, I’d sell Kel if a good offer came in but more than happy keeping him.

Kasper is going nowhere and it’s a difficult position to fill. Hopefully Iversen is the answer to that one when it needs addressing.

  4. Or if his right was for anything more than standing on.

Thought he’d turned a corner with that when he bagged his hat trick but seemingly just used up his right foot quota. Mind you if he had 2 feet he’d probably have stayed in Manchester.

  5. Gonna be genius from Rodgers when we conspire to lose to Everton, so Leeds go down and we can sign Raphinha on the cheap to solve the long standing RW problem we’ve had. Followed by the title next season.

    Playing the long game…

  6. Our first 11 would be underdogs away to Spurs, so when our second 11 (Kaspers in both somehow!) goes and loses it’s not really worth a meltdown even if there were something to play for in the league. As is, we’ve got some rest for the majority of Thursday nights players, given a few an opportunity to stake a claim to the bench and got out injury free.

Take the positives. Even if that positive is that “player x” has played themselves out of contention.

We’ve got a big game to play and seemingly a fully fit squad to choose from for the first time in about … what feels like an age.

Just remember Tammy Abraham is no Harry slackjaw Kane!
