  1. One day, my daughters (who have spent the last 2 hours running around with the flags from today) will ask me who the best player I've ever seen play for Leicester was.

I'll tell them stories of the Great Escape season and the goal against West Brom, how our club did the unthinkable, that goal against Liverpool. How I was there for the first game and goal, and how I was there for the last.

Top did a double take and looked bewildered when he heard the sack the board chants walking past SK1. Guess he was expecting applause like he got from majority of the rest of the stadium

From me he got a middle finger.

    Few others joined.

  3. This is how you know you should NEVER buy or read the Leicester Mercury.

They gave Thomas a 5. The same rating as only one other player. Daka.

Those journalists don't know what they're doing. Local journalism is dead.

  4. The academy question isn't very valid.

I taught a lad who was on the books for Leicester for a long while.  (Was his form tutor, and had to do all his paper work) Academy prospect, striker, thought he was going to make it. Leicester converted him into a centre back, then released him and he's now playing in Burnley's U-21s.

The academy up there doesn't develop players well as they go to other clubs in the local area. There's bigger pulls than Burnley and the club suffer because of it.

The lad in question still hasn't made a senior appearance and was loaned to Marine where he got an ACL. The point is they have to take others cast offs rather than develop.

  5. Grandfather on D-Day was behind the wheel of an LCT's dropping Canadians onto Juno Beach.

He recounted a story about how his vessel dropped a tank into too deep water and that another tank drove straight over the top of this tank storming the beach. I've since read about this specific event in a very famous Historian's work on D-day.

He had a long involvement in the conflict, serving on the Arctic convoys too. My great grandfather also was involved in bomb disposal in Africa. I've got a great picture of him sat on a 500kg German bomb he'd diffused around El Alamein.

  6. I said a few weeks ago that there are reasons for keeping him. The big one for me is the fact he's evaluated the squad and will challenge the 'boys club' mentality.

It's been clear this season we've not had the quality to compete. I'd probably keep him, and let him build. He'll be able to attract a better calibre of player and working with the younger players who respect him would be good.

I do think he'll walk though.

He's certainly the most skillful player we've had since Mahrez, honestly think he needs a season in the championship as he's a bit rough around the edges (for example with shooting and decision making) but unfortunately money talks.

Fatawu without a doubt takes that award.

Disgusting lack of respect for Mads. Meslier is horrendous.

I'd honestly back myself for this.

When Meslier came onto the scene, he was incredibly highly rated by Leeds fans. Then spent most of the end of the season when they were in the Prem picking the ball out the back of the net.

Hermansen had a few good saves this season against high profile teams, but in the games that's mattered he's been nowhere.

He's a player we should 100% cash in on, rip another team off for a decent whack of money and use Stolarcyzk.
