I'm not convinced by this. If he wasn't going to play him anyway then maybe he's done the right thing. But we've got an expensive PL player doing FA and probably affecting the rest of the team judging from his popularity shown when Cooper was sacked.

Surely dealing with it is to resolve it.

I backed Winks previously about the situation about not staying in hotels, but I think he's been exposed for what he truly is, especially with missing the game we got relegated. Against club policy to turn up to all games. Even Wesley Fofana did that when he wanted out, I remember it was a night game.

I'd back Van Nistelrooy on it. Freezing him out and keeping him training with the kids is the right course.

  2. Dyche is everything this club needs.

    • Robust no-nonsense individual who won't take any rubbish from players e.g. Winks, Coady, Vardy.
    • Not afraid to cut the wage bill and move on players who are tosh.
    • A shrewd operator who can get the best out of his team.
    • Can build strong teams that have previous in staying up in the Premier League. (It's what we need)
    • Lives local.

It might not be what the fans want, but it's exactly what the club need.

I worked with a bloke who knew him at school, and he said he was a sh*thouse back in the day not to be messed with.

  3. Is there any justification for keeping him?

    • A squad not of his making.
    • Some glimpses of decent football in the past few weeks.
    • Having a pair to be able to get rid of Vardy, Winks, Ndidi etc.
    • Will attract significant talent to the club because of his status, more so than Martin and Röhl.
    • Has previous working with young players.
    • Would cost too much to get rid of him.
    • He's been able to analyse the squad since December and is in the best position to sort out who stays and who leaves.
    • Can deal with tricky situations e.g. Winks.

I'm not saying I'd want him here, but I see a few reasons why it might be in our best interests to keep him. A season in the Championship may be the making of a good coach.

  4. So it has been confirmed. The dreaded R and the red highlight on the Premier League Table.

But lets see if there have been any highlights or pieces of comedy this season? I'll start the ball rolling with a few. Looking forward to reading yours.

1 - Jordan Ayew being too lazy to walk around the pitch when being substituted so walks back onto the pitch and cuts across the corner flag.

2 - Danny Ward's Circus Show vs Wolves

3 - The return of Andy King, many of us thinking he would galvanise the squad, then we go on a record loss streak.

4 - Celebrating a daisy cutter shot as we haven't seen a goal for months.

    5 - Ozvaldo's Protest Antics

Excited to hear your light hearted takes.

  5. I backed him a bit with the Hotel stay. But this is indefensible.

Club policy denotes all playing staff attend games. Even Fofana did this when he was on strike.

Shows the true nature of the man. Misread it.
