Lyall McColgan....is he a striker?

In the past I thin batters were given more time to develop and backed, whereas there seems to be a general impatience now. Guys lie Maddy and Stevens were in and around the first and second XLs for ages before they made that breakthrough and became first team regulars.
Maybe we'll give Jamie Dunk a chance in the 40 over cup this year.
We need to give a batsman a chance in the one dayers....Gumbs...and yes Dunk too.

Do you mean the 50-over Metro Bank One-Day Cup?
As others have said, every chance that Farooq will make his debut at some point.
I think you know what @MaidstoneFoxmeans...no need to be pedantic

Sam Evans looked he could have become a decent opener, but he was just too slow.
Swindells wasn't bad but after starting young he never seemed to push on.
I think both might have scraped along for us if we were less ambitious but neither really good enough for prolonged county careers.
Sam Evans never a regular though...Swindells yes....I had such high hopes for Harry

Similar thing happened with Marti. They seem to take an age getting paperwork done. They are obsessed with RM, and they will do anything they can to make it happen.
Marrying to one playing style, and being pals with Maresca, doesn't help us pivot.
I just want this done, and out the system. Hopefully, the destruction is minimum, and we can move again.
Challinor is the only obvious choice. But these people are delusional about the club status, rank, and profile. We need a Martin George type manager right now. And Challinor fits like a glove.
Martin George...now there's a man who knew how to choose a manager

Well if you don't Inc Taylor who played a few age group games but was on the academy at Worcs then I'm struggling .Greg Smith and Josh Cobb were average , suppose you Would have to say Shiv Thakor
Quite damning that, considering Thakor is now 32

Struggling big time. I know we have been producing bowlers for a number of recent years but when was last time we produced a decent specialist young batsman from our academy?

Money every time he plays is one thing but ultimately he is ours, we gave him his first class debut, I’ve read he was class with the kids on Sunday, he always bigs us up in the media. Whatever happens, he’s a Leicestershire academy graduate and he’s our bloody legend. Even people like Broad that pretend they were Notts born and bred can’t take away that it was the fields of Grace Road that made him.
There can be no doubts about his attitude after Sunday. His enthusiasm was a delight to see

Would keep our Southampton obsession going.
Alan Ball or Chris Nicholl would be better options than Russell Martin and they both passed away some years ago.
Just put a tenner on Ian Branfoot

Not forgetting a 6 hour marathon against Leuven at Seagrave. Spread out in 12, 30 minute halves.

Alex Green in for Hull and you’ve nailed it
I'd have Alex Green over Hull but I suspect Hull will get the nod. Is Scriv still injured?

More of a first team playing in the second game. Kelly is playing, but no A.Patel in either team.
What's the XI for this second match?

Impressive bowling performance in game 1 today. Alex Green and Ben Mike looked sharp...backed up well by Sam Wood and Trev.

Hasn't Page gone on record saying he's a Man Utd fan as well?
His dad and former footballer Don is from Manchester so it would add up

The BBC report suggests cramp, and that he'll be back tomorrow. 🤞
Hopefully we can score enough to give Glam some awkward sessions on the final day - though I don't know if the wicket will be doing anything by then.
Thank god for that! Shoot me down but I don't think Handscomb would have scored the runs Weatherald has...

Does anyone know how much of the season this rules him out for ?
He's been somewhat underwhelming so far in the Championship, and I suspect he would have been pretty much undroppable given who he is. Wouldn't be too displeased with Tattersall replacing him as a batsman at this current point in time, given Rehan's lack of runs.
What about Sol!

Yeah...signed him as a youngster from Manure...was decent...we sold him to Scarborough for a decent fee and then he ended up at Middlesbrough before playing most of his football back in his native Ireland
