  1. Daka has done very well playing for Zambia (yeah, I watch and cheer him as much as I do N'Didi and anyone else from LCFC), and its the next level of Prem that can eat you up mentally and crush confidence. Like most sane people, I cannot believe Vardy starts our matches, when every team everywhere has the old horse coming off the bench bringing swagger and hope... since.. forever! That being said, I would absolutely play Daka, and coach the hell outta him. The change in position/system was a curious suggestion earlier, and was interesting. I have not given up on him, as I feel he is playing his guts out, even if not being effective at it (which then I blame the coach). Vardy has missed more sitters than I can to remember this season, and I want Daka to succeed. Its the hope that kills you...
  2. Issue is, gotta play our hand, and its stupid to ask "Pro's" who many cant even use their off-foot, to play in ways that they simply do not have the skillset for. For example, The Tinkerman adjusted and played Danny Simpson as a pure defender in "the Season". And it had us keep a very solid defense. Justin thinks (or somebody told him) he is a great "wingback" just ready to score, when he needs to focus on JUST DEFENDing and try to not play the ball to the other damn team and be out of position.. constantly! In this game, he needs to calm down. Kristiansen? Hes like Faes, both play with energy, at moments, but just as likely of screwing up for no reason. Victor does not need to "overlap on the outside" of Mavididi, ever... first, Mavi aint gonna pass, and the "space" is never really there once he drags someone else outside, and more importantly Victor cant cross (at least one thing Reid showed he might can do), has no IQ, and is always out of position as a defender. While I am not an Enzo fan, he at least had him play inside the wing on play-thru's, and was generally deep enough to recover. Enzo ball is "let the Winger beat the defender, its why you have them. Defenders are not as a rule able to do that, just assist the winger with passing. (not everyone is Kyle Walker). But I expect to see Luke get a chance, as he is more pure defender, and has done well bulking up, but he could choose Victor just for speed on counter. RvN loves getting our outside backs tight inside the 18, which keeps giving teams acres of space outside. I expect to see us play deep, play Vesty, and play counter... so who knows. There is real personality issues between Jann/Coady/Wout. Playing deep I expect Ayew, as he is a "smart" player, and plays well with back to goal, or hold up play. (I think this is why he moved over to replace Bilal in that one game, to see if he could be a hold-up balls for Vardy to play off of.. but that was a radical thing to try 75mins into a game when Bilal was our best threat) Mavididi needs Fatawu, its clear they are on the same wavelength, as they were creating back post threats all last season. Now, Mavididi cant hold up a ball and hasnt really done much "taking on" the defenders like he can, and our right winger is never on the back post like he is looking for. Also, he goes walk-about for half the time. I would consider playing McAteer, just for zest and confidence building, but I cant read RvN: there is no clear vision and stamp of him on the team. New manager growing pains... Wow, how badly we have missed real talent and guts like N'didi (and Ricardo). As big as Winks seemed to be the heart of our team last year, I would rather see (shocking comeback season and Red card ready to happen) Soumare', and hope for some spirited play. I dont see a reason to play Winks as a sub. Seriously, no scenario for his skillset. Vardy is the guts of the team, when he scores, anything can happen, and Bilal should be a future to build around.. if we can hold onto him. Hoping Mags has a brilliant day... Unfortunately, Buonanette is not the future of LCFC, but I would start him over Ayew just for the dynamic counter ability. Last minute legs like Skipp, Reid, McAteer and Daka, we might get something. Woyo looks like an underweight for a strong position, but I am hoping for the best, and I need to see more.
