I (and many others) absolutely hated the football Everton played under Dyche. I dreaded each game because I knew I'd be in for harried, overly direct football that bypassed what talent and skill our players had. It was painful to watch, even when we didn't lose.
We tended to do alright when sat back and absorbing pressure against far better sides, but Dyche teams CANNOT play on the front foot. Our record and performances against teams in the bottom quarter of the league was horrendous. Last season, we even lost twice to Southampton ffs.
