Yeah, couldn't remember and didn't fancy trawling through hundreds of pages. I guess as a pro sportsman Swindells with have thick skin so wouldn't be bothered. But I still think that sharing technical stuff like this with a gobshite who sprays stuff all over the internet is very naive. I just hope that Nixon's legacy (as a player) isn't ruined by this 'we can't talk for legal reasons' stuff. Regardless of it, the clubs handling of the last few days has been shambolic. -

Direct line to the big man himself. In what other job could you tell some random bloke on the other side of the world about the deficiencies of your staff / players. It's poor practice at best, naivety if I'm being generous, and an HR fiasco at worse. -

If you follow him on twitter he comes across as a proper conspiracy theorist nut, some of the stuff he likes is proper oddball stuff. Crickets answer to Matt LeTissier. Still a ledge as a player though so sad to see him go. (*unless he turns out to be a wrongun!!) -

It's not a message to me, to a 'fan' in Australia. Fair enough, but playing a dangerous game. -

There seems to be a fair bit of anger towards Nixon, fair enough as far as I'm concerned. So here's a question, the info below is from a couple of years ago but in any other industry, how would an employee feel if their boss was talking about their ability with some idiot supporter on the other side of the world. It just smacks of how amateurish we are as a club . If I was a pro I'd be livid if I found out that my boss was speaking in private to loudmouth gobshites about my batting deficiencies. -

If Nixon wasn't NIxon he'd be getting an absolute hammering from the fans, especially on twitter. Absolute dogshit, you just can't polish a turd. -

My old man had a clear out and found 3 scorebooks from U15 & U18's. I'm just as impressed with Youngy managing to bowl a maiden too, obviously before the yips set in. So far I've found a very Young Darren Stevens playing for Swallows Green and Carl Crowe playing for Ratby (seems to have been a specialist fielder at an early age...much like me) -

Maybe interview this bloke who opened the bowling for Narborough under 18's in the 90's. 2 runs from 3 overs in an 18 over game, obviously destined for big things..... -
So did he beat the guy in the dads race or not?

Pashun!! The Iain Hume of the cricket world. 5 wickets at 47 in the champo following on from 10 at 82 in 2018!! I guess that's an improvement as he's getting more economical. His figures in the T20 went backwards too (number and average), Mason obviously having a fantastic on the bowlers too...(although he gets some leeway as he wasn't a spinner) -

**** me, he's done well there. Pulling out an assistant coach gig when the likes of Hill, Ali & Dearden have gone backwards under his tenure. Not to mention the senior players who've done f all. -

Ali has hardly been given a run in the past 4 seasons. Broke through in 2015 and played the last 7 games averaging just under 40. We'd kill for that now. Followed by a grand total of 7 CC games from 2016-2019, never playing more than 2 in a row. Yet Dearden gets licence to be dogshit on a weekly basis. -

I was once told by a journo at the county 'you're better off ignoring Fango, he has issues away from cricket'. -

I've seen tweets where he's confirmed players due to join and said we were just waiting on them being released by their counties (Keith Barker, Wessells). I suspect he's not as ITK as most people think but If he throws enough shit around some of it is bound to be right. However, I have also seen a direct tweet where he asked Nixon why Swindells wasn't playing and Nixon tweeted back that it was down to Swindells inability to deal with the short ball. I think it's criminal that our head coach is divulging information on players techniques to internet nut job. -

How the **** have we got ourselves £4m in debt. Seriously, how? What the **** have we spent it on, are the railings made of gold? I'd love to know how much of it was on shite players we had to pay off from McDonald's legacy. Or the Carberry fiasco. -

This, this, this...not forgetting Sadler. I also see The Gus Robson fan club have gone quiet too after this years fantastic scores of 16,0,64,9 -

My old man brought it up at a Forum a couple of years ago that was live ono Radio Leicester. He got ridiculed by everyone involved including Dagnall & Rae. Funnily though, he told Dagnall to shut up (who then got the hump!!). Then brought it up again a on RL a year later and was ridiculed again, including a load of people on twitter. His point was, if you aim for the start, you might just get a sprinkling of stardust on the way down. He was really pissed off with our acceptance of mediocracy and low / non existent ambitions. The Leccy Sports ground is where county used to play years and years ago. Pavilion is still quite nice and possibly listed (?) -

Nixon's untouchable because he's Nixon. Fair play, he's a club legend but he gets a free pass from everyone. If he was PDB he'd have been getting hammered from all angles for these performances. -

Pride comes before a fall...I dread to think how much we've paid to get rid (or rot in the 2's) over the past few years. Thing is that most of them have been good enough to be first teamers. Genius leadership. -

So not the same person who said that the deals were done & we were just waiting for formal release from Warks / Notts before we announced them. Because that was doing the rounds. Shame though, both would probably have improved our squad. -

This Wessels source, would they by any chance be the same as the Barker source? Any mention of Thakor or Ollie Raynor? -

Trying to iron out an issue that Swindells has with the short ball. Give him a go I say, can't be any worse and with Ned leaving there's no point him being in the team for the last 2 games -

Never thought we had a sniff overnight, expected them to set us over 300 and us to bottle it. Even more impressed with Hill given that he averaged 10 before this game and was probably batting for his place in the team. Fooking great. -
I just completed this quiz. My Score 60/100 My Time 90 seconds
