"Using agencies to do our business as we are too lazy to do any real scouting."
is there any evidence for this? It's an accusation that's often thrown around - but surely if this was the case you'd see a pattern in our signings (Southampton is the only one I can see).
i had a look when Jake on BSLB (maybe a year ago) mentioned that an insider told him we have a scouting department but it's often ignored in favour of a couple of agents. I looked up some of the most inexplicable signings and could find no common thread (though not all agent info is made public)...
I'm a retired journalist and happy to follow up any credible leads on this..
All message board “fact” and no real knowledge

So were considered less important than Ipswich but that’s fine cos we’re bigger than Oxford 😂
Exactly my point, this isn’t our club is it? Playing second fiddle to Ipswich. It’s pathetic.
There’s not 5 World Cup matches going on at once, a club of our size should expect to be in the top 10 stories when we’ve got a new manager. For context, a Premier League club signs a player and it’s in the top 3 stories.
Stop dancing around the point. You know what everyone’s problem is. Why do you think it’s ok?
We have played second fiddle to Ipswich in the past, when Bobby Robson was in charge, Mick Milks was captain, so yes with those memories my support for Leicester goes back a long way, so have had far more years supporting a yo-yo club than being an established top tier club.
If a PL club signs a player currently it would not be a top 3 story, it’s all about the World Cup

At this stage, I’m afraid it does. Those principles you had are now outdated. These aren’t working class locals trying their best. These are millionaires and billionaires taking the Mickey out of you. The boycotts, the abuse - all of it is necessary to create an anti-King Power culture in the fanbase. To make it clear we hate them and want our club back. That we want to be respected and respectable again. That we are too big a club to be at this level and be considered so insignificant by the media that we aren’t even the 30th biggest story when we hire a new manager
“Want our club back”
What does this mean, do you really expect any future owner set up to be a consortium of local businessmen ?
That would not deliver the finances to maintain a PL club
30th story, all football journo’s focus is on
the World Cup, even McKenna leaving Ipswich was well down the list & Martin’s appointment got more coverage than fellow relegated club Oxford parting ways with their manager

Wouldn’t worry too much about his attitude towards fast attacking Football, he doesn’t have a senior striker at the club to do anything with yet.
Well Kane was coming deeper than Ayew at the KPS
Can’t wait for the head to head striker/captain stats for the next game….

Goals change perception obviously. My heart was in my mouth for long periods watching those defenders and keeper pass between themselves , getting deeper all the time.
When my thoughts were we will be seeing this at the KPS, but it worked for England but will RM’s half time team talk make a noticeable difference like last night ?

"The club has listened to our concerns over communications over the last 18 months and has developed a communications strategy that we can see has clearly incorporated feedback from groups across the Fan Engagement Framework, the Foxes Trust survey and the voice of fans generally over the last season or two."
This is most relevant part of the Fan Reps letter
However, progress is frustratingly slow, and we want to reassure you we are continuing to press the club on this. We hope that now changes have been completed at senior level at the club and our new CEO and sporting director are in place, more regular and meaningful
communication about the club’s footballing intentions and direction will be made – while understanding, of course, that this will always need to be done in a way that does not give any advantageous knowledge to our competitors.
We have specifically asked the club to communicate properly with fans about the club’sfootballing direction ahead of the start of the new season and they have committed to keeping us informed about progress with this. -

Unfortunately this group has lost credibility as a mechanism to be able to achieve any meaningful change, in the eyes of the wider fan base.
Fair play for trying to communicate to us but the letter just reads like a group of nice people who are trying their best but ultimately not getting anywhere.
They’ve had the ear of the most senior individuals in the Club (including Top, Rudkin, Whelan and Rudkin) - access that some of the supporter groups would relish - and achieved very little of note. Two years in, I can’t see how the FAB in its current form starts to deliver.
Changes have been made at the club (not the change desired by many), it is now all about when & how often the new CEO and particularly the new SD communicate directly to the fans (and ensure that is maintained)
Many of the comments relating to "lack of engagement" really means those leading the club aren't talking to us (the entire fan base) in a meaningful way (like Ipswich & Southampton did last season & Wolves this season) and providing a sense of direction, as per call to action 4, rather than anything else regarding fan consultation
The current FAB & FCC members can only continue to bang that drum until it happens

Introducing ID checks for away tickets.
Only 18.3% of 3,976 respondents in the Trust’s End of Season Survey support this approach (you could only answer the question if selecting you typically attend at least one away game each season).
There’s an absolute chasm between what the club hear (or pay attention to in the Fan Engagement Framework) and what the wider fan base thinks and feels.
Box. Ticking. Exercise.
Maybe the “against ID checks” needs a deeper dive survey
What are the main objections?
The justification from clubs is based mainly around fans buying tickets and then selling/passing on to others - which gets around the away priority points systems, so some with high priority rarely go to games themselves
That said the away priority points system does need revising & a revision should not have been delayed for another season
Also that many trouble makers at away games are not fans who originally bought the tickets & therefore harder to identify

Have you tried some anger management training ?

I haven’t agreed with the event but I’ve felt the digging at people going has been really uncalled for. Can’t blame people for using a spare Saturday afternoon watching people who brought them a lot of joy. If you haven’t smiled at least one of the social media videos of them together, you are lying
Totally agree, sick of posters on here pointing fingers at those who wanted to enjoy a celebration of one of the highlights of their lives.
If it wasn’t for you fine, just don’t go but stop telling others what they should or shouldn’t do

Christ that's shocking.
Honestly feel they should have saved this for closer to pre season. Get WC done, show change of direction and have some players available to come down. Do it July when the kids are just finishing and get a load of freebies to the schools.
The various other uses of the pitch are usually completed by the end of May, they then replace the pitch and its timed to be ready in time for the new season.
That’s the normal cycle

Discussion from a long time ago but can anyone remember what the Belvoir Dr land was worth? That could certainly be of interest to property developer owners.
It’s a complicated site to get planning permission, many restrictions, altho with the drive to increase house building maybe the political appetite will be there to ease them
-
If there is any truth in this at all, then an organisation involved in property would be more interested with outline planning permission for a hotel and concert/other activities venue, so owning the entire site.
Of course the long term benefits to the club could then be lost if the income from those developments don’t flow into the clubs coffers.
They would logically take the decision to build those first and leave the stadium untouched as it doesn’t need expansion while in the EFL

I would imagine the attendance will be made up of people wanting to take their kids to a football match, without any real interest in who's playing, or Leicester City themselves...Or people who brought early, some what naively thinking that players like Kante, Mahrez, Vardy & Kasper would be playing.
Anyone who doesn't fit either of those reasons probably just have more money than sense, or are mentally unwell.
Another one making judgements on fellow fans who want to enjoy the event
You don’t want to go fine
The event doesn’t have a great demand on the wallet and questioning the mental health of fellow fans is disrespectful
Mental health is a serious issue, not a topic to be used as a slur on fans who don’t agree with your viewpoint

Absolutely loving this, the club needs to realise nobody gives a shit about a 10yr anniversary after what the club has put us through the last 2 seasons. There so far off it nothing will change while Rudkin is here either
Nobody?
Even this thread states 5,200 are going.
Stop assuming your opinion is everybody’s opinion
Let those who want to go enjoy it

KP Out !
Why can’t fans enjoy an occasion remembering one of the best years of their lives ?
Rather than dwell on depressing recent seasons
You seem to want to forget the enjoyable past but forever bang on about last season, which is also in the past now.
Have you ever posted anything positive about anything?Hopefully the new playing squad will go into next season with a positive mindset, as will many new season ticket holders glad to be able to attend all the games

Has there been any communication from the club to the trust at all since the season ended. I know this is all early days even with the new trust setup, but im surprised about the lack of comms from all angles.
They last met on April 27th, it’s unrealistic to expect dialogue every week

I dont understand how we can be talking about any kind of budget. How about some transparency from the club on what the finances are and what the plans are to remedy the situation over the next 5 years.
Much easier for the fans to accept moves if we understand the reasons for them.
Having any money to spend seems quite fanciful considering the massive loss it appears were about to make this coming year.
Early noises make it sound like theor head is still in the sand nobody wants to acknowledge the seriousness of our situation.
While I’m sure every fan wants more Comms from the club to inspire us, they can’t share information that gives other clubs an advantage when negotiating transfers with us, both out going or incoming

Same here couldn’t agree more, it literally takes 5 to 10 maximum and covers such a wide range of topics, there is something relevant to everyone, so here’s your Vance to tell them and if you do think everything in the garden is rosy then take the time to praise the club.
All you can do is promote on as many different socials & message boards. Different people promoting maybe on say various Facebook groups, share on each one of them & reply to any who post criticisms of the Trust’s current comms saying thats exactly why you should be completing the survey
Keep making the point you want views from all fans

If fans of many other League One clubs read this thread the accusations of being an entitled bunch would be justified.
The other clubs aren’t going to just roll over and have their tummy tickled.
Yes, I hope we got straight back up, but those basing their ideas on the Enzo season or our previous L1 where we had many good players for L1 already established are sadly misguided
As many have said, let’s see what the squad looks like at the end of the transfer window & let’s hope for a good start
