Cheers guys. Basically the role i will be in is to talk to business users or customers (internal or external) to ask them what upgrades etc they are interested in for their software and then analyse stuff, make recomendations etc and document it all. It will then eventually be handed off to programmers to develop the end product.

Theres more to the role but thats a dumbed down version .

Anyways i got called a few hours after the interview and was offered the job. Sweet hay-zues it took a year but the dogg is back in effect. I expect my posting on foxestalk to drop off considerably now (sadly). I will be more of a lurking perv now

Quick update seeing as we mentioned jobs in this thread. I have been interviewing for a Business Analyst role he last 2 weeks. 1 phone interview, 2 cognitive timed assessments and 3 in person interviews later (last one was today) i got an offer! Wooohooooooooo.

Keep at it guys you will find something. Dont give up. Took me a bloody year.

Ya and the thing is i work in IT so you get people telling me to take any job. Yes i have technical support experience but my last job was systems analyst and i can't really change my resume to sound more technical supporty because i didnt do much of that at all. On top of it even if i do apply to tech support roles im always over qualified and they tell me.

That said i dont have enuff experience as senior systems analyst to get a crack compared to other applicants so im stuck looking fot jr to intermediate SA or BA types roles. But a lot of people are looking for work in those roles ao its competitive.

Ive been getting alot more calls lately so something wil work out.

Of course when i do get a job i will get called for an interview at some place i really wanted to work at.

Ive been off for a year and its been trying. Granted part of my time off has been full time stay at home dad but getting rejected after so many interviews takes its toll.

Just heard on news that a woman in China has been sucked under a collapsed escalator flooring in some shopping centre and, when she fell halfway through, she pushed her child to safety.

Seeing the CCTV video of it was very sad.

As ive said before mls is not that great. When "past it" prem league stars can go there and be amazing stars then it speaks for itself.

That said its great for the likes of folks like me who reside in canada/usa to see some great players over here. I think its working wonders for mls and over timeeeee things will get better.
