foz.foz Posted 24 May 2015 Posted 24 May 2015 Rizzlas, wet wipes, tiger balm for the bogs (up your nose) try to get to the camper van fields if you need to drop the kids off at the pool. A lot of vans have their own bogs meaning the portaloos are used less. (Gate C, then up the massive hill and along 3 fields should be finding cleaner bogs. Just remember to collect a camper van passout so you can get back in. Rizzlas, Solar showers are good if its sunny. If its not, half fill with cold water then top up with boiled water to get your ideal temperature then she can wash her hair/shower etc. Rizzlas. Dont take anything you cant afford to loose, ie mobiles if she must theres a chill n charge "tent/fortress" which has a 3 or 4 hour queue for charging your phone. They had a hour charge limit when I was there last. Some stalls charge a fiver to charge your phone. Use the lock ups. Go Shangri-la after midnight, eat around the healing fields as the food is better, cheaper. There is a cap on food prices. Rizzlas. Ponchos are handy to carry around. Keeps you dry if it rains, and allows you to pi55 in an empty pint cup without everyone looking if i can think of any more I'll add them to this lot. Oh yeah. On the way home, there is a tescos in bristol if i remember correctly (rizzlas) Use their bogs and get a decent breakfast for the journey home.
ramboacdc Posted 26 May 2015 Author Posted 26 May 2015 my Glastonbury tip would be to be in the queue for when the gates open at 8am Wednesday morning. We leave Leicester at midnight Tuesday night, get in the queue about 3ish then sit about till 8am. If that's not an option at least get there as early as possible on the Wednesday. You'll maximise your Glastonbury experience and also get somewhere decent to camp. we are planning on leaving leicestershire around 3-4am to be in or around the area by 8am for this reason. kip in the morning once pitched up and partay all night.
