We can't rely on Riyad Mahrez all the time - Wes Morgan

Riyad Mahrez is Leicester City's match winner, but everyone must share the responsibility, said captain Wes Morgan.

Mahrez has started the season in superb form, scoring four times in the first three games, including a stunning late equaliser to grab City a point against Tottenham.

But City had to find another way to snatch a point at AFC Bournemouth when a heavy challenge from former City winger Max Gradel on the Algeria international left Mahrez with a back injury which forced him off at half- time.

"Obviously, in every game we play in we can't just rely on our most threatening players," said Morgan.

"You have to have a plan B, plan C and even a plan D at times.

"They (Mahrez and fellow winger Marc Albrighton) had a more quiet of game, but the boys up top and in midfield stepped up. We all worked hard to get the point."

Mahrez, who is expected to be fully fit for Sunday's visit of Aston Villa, remains City's star man, said fellow winger Albrighton.

"He is one of those players you need in a successful team," he said. "He is a player who can create something out of nothing.

"When chances are few and far between he can pop up with a moment of magic, like he did against Tottenham.

"He can conjure up a moment of brilliance."

But City's unbeaten start isn't all down to Mahrez's form, said Albrighton.

"Riyad has been on top form and playing brilliant," said Albrighton. "I feel like I am in good form as well.

"With everyone at the moment, whether that is Andy King or Danny Drinkwater in the midfield, or Jamie Vardy and Shinji Okazaki up top, we are all showing a bit of form."

City opted not to risk any first-team players for yesterday's behind-closed-doors friendly against Aston Villa.

City fielded several first team players in a similar fixture against Stoke last week, but the likes of Dean Hammond and Marcin Wasilewski, who haven't featured in the Premier League yet this season, were not included this time as a young Development squad side lost 1-0 to Villa at Bodymoor Heath.
