Leicester City's under 18 side lost their 100 percent record for the season when they went down 4-2 away to Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.

The Foxes went into the game on the back of three straight wins, but would come undone against the Premiership giants.

The home side took the lead with 15 minutes on the clock, but Leicester were holding their own and equalised through Levi Porter 10 minutes later.

Chelsea then regained the advantage on the brink of half-time, with Leicester again pulling it back - this time Craig Rochester getting the goal.

But the multi million pound Blues proved too powerful in the final stages, and Chelsea would eventually run out 4-2 victors.

Speaking after the game, Academy director Jon Rudkin said: "It was a good game and Chelsea showed us a lot of respect. Their manager told us before the game that he was fielding his strongest team of the season so far against us.

"It was always going to be a tough test for us with Chelsea's team containing over a millions pounds worth of compensation talent.

"We probably learnt more from the game than we did from our opening three fixtures, so we take a lot of positives out of game. They have got some of the best young talent from around Europe in their side and we certainly didn't disgrace ourselves."

In any case, from the match summary, it does not seem as if it was an easy victory for Chelsea!!!

well the OS is hardly going to say 'we were dominated all game, scored 2 flukey break-away goals and in honesty we deserved to lose 8-1' is it?!?!? Also dont believe what rudkin says about other teams and that, its bollucks!

Well, I am mostly going by the way (succession) in which the goals were scored... I don't think anyone could easily lie about that...

Sounds encouraging to me and further evidence of yet more youngsters starting to make an impression within a club that now seems to genuinely care about them.
