Oldinnblue Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 Right, now we have shown the so called pundits and experts that you don't need endless possession to win games, or by playing long hopeful balls, let's see if we can take this to the next level by being the most entertaining counter attacking team in this league. I think we can push for. Top 4 spot if we can add a bit of quality to back up Vardy in this window. They label us a 4-4-2 team but anyone who knows football will see that we are playing a 4-2-3-1 formation with either Ulloa or Okasaki just behind Vardy, picking up their holding midfielder when we defend but supporting Vardy when we attack. Neither of them relish this role but do it for the sake of the team. This is where we need to strengthen, if we do, we can surprise the pundits again in the second half of the season. This is where we are to date in my opinion, by player..... Kasper........... The best one on one keeper in the league but gets rooted to his line. Simpson..........sound defender, gets a nose bleed if he goes over the half way line. Fuchs..............fuching brilliant and what a decent guy too. Big wes............awesome, nothing more to add. Huth...........sound defender but not as good in the air as he should be. Drinky.........absolutely vital to us, what a great player, short or long passes, he's got the lot. Kante.........Steve Walsh should be knighted for finding this player......simply the best. Albrighton....great crosses and fantastic work rate but does he need to play a winner every time. Okasaki........works hard but doesn't seem to have top quality to me but is selfless for the team. Ulloa.........Okasaki has filled his boots with lead to stop him running and keep him out of the tea. Mahrez.......the best player in the league this season. Steve Walsh, gets a second nighthood. Vardy.........nothing to add....Steve Walsh, stand up before the queen for a third time. Rainieri..... Has not put a foot wrong, inherited a great dressing room from Pearson and has added a far better tactical game and his subs have been great. We just need to replace Ulloa or Okazaki with a top top player to get to the top 4 in my opinion.......Who should that player be ?

Demarie Gray looks like he could be another Henry with a bit of guidance from the coaching team. Well. you got to dream. All these big signings we are mentioned with might not have the talent this player might bring to the squad.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 9 January 2016 Posted 9 January 2016 I personally think we can make top 4, due to the way we play and our team spirit. We play to our own strengths and it works. I feel we could do with a few additions however. Those few signings could just help us through to finish in the top 4 this season.

There's practically half a season to go and putting all the pressure on vardy and Mahrez to score the goals is unsustainable , whether it be through injuries, burnout or other teams sussing them out... We need a plan B!

We need a plan B! I have to agree with this. I do feel we need a plan B at times and at least a couple of signings to take the pressure of Vardy and Mahrez.
