dpjfox Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 I saw a couple of pre season games in Scotland and to my amazement we tried to play the ball out from the keeper and through the midfield. I have to say we didnt do it well at all, but now the seasons started its back to the big hoof. In Scotland it may have been that Pressman cant kick or Scowy wasnt playing or even weak opposition. But if we continue to play the big boot upfield then why have a midfield, we might as well just shove Blake and Benji up front with the strikers and hope for the best!
Scow Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 Probably the best way to desribe our football at the minute - Hopeful. The players haven't got a clue what to do when they have the ball at their feet. There is no cohesion or solidity in the way we're playing. Nalis and Tiatto were wanting the ball on Saturday, but when they did get it, the movement and positional sense of other player's was so poor that it was difficult to provide any decent service.
mad biker Posted 31 August 2004 Posted 31 August 2004 in the 20 minutes leading up to half time we played some very good football, passing the ball about really well, trouble is, during this period our centre half decided to give Brighton a goal ! the second half we were a shambles and no one, even me, can find anything good to say about the way we played, it`ll come good though, stick by Micky and the boy`s they`ll do us proud and you`ll have a lot of words to eat !!!
