"The child somehow started the car, whose keys had been left in the ignition, and it began reversing," police spokesman Adam Jachimczak said. The child's mother, who tried to stop the car, and her four-year-old daughter, got run over by the vehicle which pinned the grandfather against the wall of a barn. The four-year-old, who suffered the most serious injuries, was rushed to hospital together with her mother and grandfather who were also hurt, Jachimczak said from yahoo

Alexikokopops Posted 25 September 2005 Posted 25 September 2005 It's an Automatic maybe? in which case it would be quite easy Easier to reverse yes, but I'd still like to see the kid stick the car in reverse and push the right pedal down (asuming the handbrake was left off), not many people I know leave their car in reverse after they've parked, especially if it's an automatic. Still sounds a little farfetched to me.
