Foxandfolly Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 I’ve been informed by a very reliable source (wife of a director at another PL club I work with) that Leicester would vote for the top clubs to recieve more money. Which begs the questions, ‘Where do our owners see us now and in the future?’ I, like most other supporters, will always be forever greatful for the way our Thai owners have transformed us with their time, financial and emotional investment. Having read some quite rediculous threads recently regarding the ‘negative’ impact the owners may have had, I found today’s information very reassuring. I was told (and believe) they have big ambitions and are very confident in becoming one these clubs in the future that would recieve a greater proportion of overseas money. So I say, stay positive, it’s always about the bigger picture.
davieG Posted 4 October 2017 Posted 4 October 2017 We know it's about this and they did vote for it. Premier League clubs have agreed to further talks over new proposals to change the way they receive money from overseas broadcasting deals. The clubs met on Wednesday to discuss the issue and unanimously agreed to adjourn the meeting to allow further discussion. The clubs have not rejected any proposals regarding the distribution of international broadcast revenue, but have simply agreed to further talks on the issue.
Foxandfolly Posted 4 October 2017 Author Posted 4 October 2017 I was also informed that not many clubs would be voting for the top clubs to recieve more money. The lady in question suggested that her husbands club (a well established PL club) wouldn’t be voting in favour of it.
