shailen Posted 23 February 2019 Posted 23 February 2019 Regardless of whether you agree with Puels methods or not - one thing I still don't understand is him constantly chopping and changing the team. I don't feel like he knows who his best team is still. Dropping Vardy, Evans, Albrighton, Gray, Maddison, N'didi, Mendy, Ghezzal - something changes tactically every week. He needs to have the balls to pick his team even if that means dropping Vardy. I couldn't tell you what our style is which changes week in week out and this lack of stability means the players do not know what to do. Sometimes we press, sometimes we sit back and counter, sometimes we attack with pace, sometimes we attack slowly and keep possession. Before anyone says we cannot play the same way against all teams and we need different styles. Yes agreed - but there seems to be no clear plan that the players know how to approach different games. I've seen Vardy press and no one pressing behind him and I've seen midfielders push up and leaving massive holes behind them when no one else is pressing. We need the team to he synchronised and clear in what the plan is.
