Son played today in a friendly should have been a low level competitive game. Our team only had the bare 7 with some trying different positions with a few lads unavailable and a lad going in goal for the first time.

The opposition were a league or two lower rarely win a game by what their parents told us. Kicked off and within 2 minutes you could tell they weren’t a lower level team. Ended up losing 6-3  turns out they have a level 1 team didn’t have a match today so they drafted in 3 of their players.

They were 4-0 up before halftime with one of the lads scoring a hatrick, Dennis Bergkamp would have been proud of. Half time they subbed all 3 off, we got it back to 4-3 as soon as our 3rd went in all 3 were immediately subbed back on again.
