shrood Posted 26 September 2004 Posted 26 September 2004 I think the 7's for dublin are a little generous, was pretty unimpressed with him myself...
Ash Posted 26 September 2004 Author Posted 26 September 2004 I thought Dublin was very strong at the back , Best defender we had for the first half
Southern Fox Posted 27 September 2004 Posted 27 September 2004 Pressman 6 - Good in the 1st half but didnt command his box with the crosses in 2nd. Made a great save when the score was at 2-2. Keown 6 - Had Furlong and co in his pocket 1st half but as QPR pushed numbers forward, he and everyone else lost their heads and positioning. Dabizas 6 - Was good in spells but awful at times. Really doesnt deserve the skippers band when there are others who would do a betetr job. Dublin 6 - Did well at the back and showed versitilty by moving forward but doesnt contribute enough for someone of his experience. The best is yet to come Im sure. Makin 6 - Did okay in an un-orthodox right wing back position. Supported the front line well and defended solidily but didnt look overallu comfortable. Wilcox 5 - His crossing was poor nd his defending wasnt much better. Still not really sure what he gives to the team. Nalis 6 - Chased a lot of shadows. Played some great balls but is still lacking for a midfield kingpin. Went missing when qpr piled forward. Scowcroft 8 - Was the best LCFC player by a mile. Strong in attack and defence. Took his goal really well and got in some crunching challenges. Thank god with have not sold him. Always tracked back and won many headers that we failed to run on to. Gemmill 5 - Gave very little in the middle of the park. Really needed to get hold of the game and make more of an impact. Would have been disappointed with his performacnes. Connolly 6 - Superb goal. Despite what I have read, I thought he was extremely unlucky to be sent off. Just when he thought his LC career had finally got going it stops again. Some neat link up play but bar the goal was a bit amoninous. Blake 6 - First touch is still poor but at least showed a bit more want for the ball and a bot of effort. Appeared to gesture at the home crowd a few times. Tired early. Subs Gudjonsson 6 - Can on late but couldnt change the wave of pressure city were under. Had a shot at goal which was easily saved. Appears to get muscled out of the game when it comes to a midfield dual. Benjamin 6 - Looked sharp down the left and was unlucky not to see the defender Bignot red carded for hauling down big trev twice in a few minutes. I still not sure why MA doesnt start him instead of Blake. Wright 5 - Gave little in form of attack. Spurned the one opportunity that he had. Looks a bit short of match sharpness. Manager MA 6 - Again the team lacks discipline. Yet another red card (4 in 10 games) which has lost some or all of the points. The team lacks leadership and despite some experienced players it is dreadful how the team so easily falls apart. Micky, micky sort them out!!
