SSD's for the PS5

Has anyone ever installed an SSD to their PS5?

 

I have the 500gb disc version of the ps5, but with the increasing size of games, I'm lucky if I can keep any more than 2 game files installed at a time. 

 

I've looked into external storage but obviously you still have to move the game files onto the console to play them. Am I right in thinking that with an SSD you are able to just play the games directly from it?

 

Also, is it an easy enough process to install it and move pre existing game and save files onto it?
