Yes I do think he's good enough for the prem , and I believe he will make it with the Arse.

Smithy is here too learn , and Arsene is not stupid , we've seen some of Smith's faults , tracking back ect. , Wenger has sent him here to flush those bad points out of him , and therefore he'll return to Highbury with all those bad points out of his system. Abit like Beckham at Preston.

Smith can change a game in an instance , and If we did'nt have him we'd be in serious shit.

Taylor was given chances in the 01-02 season, 02-03 season, and in the 03-04 season. It was obvious that he wasn't quite good enough (although Almunia is shit) and that's why he can't now break into the Villa side.

Wenger isn't anti-English. Any other manager would have sacked Adams, Bould, Keown, Dixon and Winterburn for being old alcoholics but Wenger transformed their careers, he kept Seaman about 3 years too long, brought in players like Jeffers and Richard Wright who just weren't good enough and has solved England's left back problem.

Pennant and Bentley would be regulars if it wasn't for the fact that they're both arrogant idiots with the wrong attitude, the same applies to some foreigners (Quincy) that he's had at the club.

He also would have bought SWP and Rooney if he could have afforded them. And probably Defoe, but what's the better bargain - £8 million for Defoe or £3 million for Van Persie?

Smith is the one English player since Cole to come through the youth system who seems to have the talent and the attitude to match.

Although having said that Kenyon has turned Cole's head, as he did Gerrard's, and I reckon he'll be off in the summer.

In fact when you think about Johnson, Bridge, Parker and SWP, the fact that Chelsea unsettled Cole and Gerrard (which focked up Gerrard's head in Euro 2004), and the fact that players like Terry, Lampard and Joe Cole never replicate their club form with the national side, the real villians are the Russians

Apart from maybe SWP (who hasn't been given a chance really) - the others simply aren't as good as the foreigners who play in the same position.

Farreira or Johnson, I'd rather have Farreira. Del Horno/Gallas or Bridge? Del Horno for me.

Exactly the same thing at Arsneal. Bently can't get in the Blakcburn team, Sidwell is playing in the Championship, Upson is an anaerage player in a mediocre team and Taylor isn't quite good enough. It has to be said Wenger has given these guys a chance but they have not taken it because they have not been good enough. He is not anti-English he just has his culbs best interests at heart.

As for not signin English players that is all about price. When he can sign Van Persie for 3 million and Franny Jeffers set him back 7 million he might be getting the impression young English players are over priced. SWP 20 million! Christ!

Oh and finally SWP is definately not in the same league as Robben (the foreigner keeping him out) who cost half as much.
