PompeyFox Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 Does it seem we can only win when opposition teams come and attack us properly. meaning we can string it together to attack them back? Look what happened when sheff u came here, we played 4-4-2 and got at them and the result speaks for itself. Now look what happened when we went 4-4-2 last night, we could attack them. Now look at the games over chrimbo when teams came here and had 9/10 players behind the ball. We struggle to break them down, and always get caught out on the one break they have. We always have good possesion but can't seem to break them down. Are we only any good when teams play proper football against us. By the way im still dancing on the ceiling from last night's game.............WELL DONE LADS....................This is just my opinion
STUHILL Posted 9 January 2006 Posted 9 January 2006 I think it is because we don't currently have a natural finisher and someone upfront making numerous clever runs looking for passes in on goal. Hopeful Fryatt will add that. A lot of the games we have played e.g Norwich game, i think we broke them down and created chances but same old story we just didn't finish them. We have some great attacking midfielders and should be a handful for any defensive team! I just hope we start seeing it.
