I don't think he should be pleased. The feeling I got was that no-one (except their own die-hards) wanted to see Portugal through to the final because their appearance, and potential success, would categorically bring the game into disrepute across a world stage.

Ronaldo should think about that and wipe the smirk off his face. The sooner he is out of our country's League the happier I'll be.
