chili_con_carne Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 Skills is going to get murdered tonight up against Burnley's right mid Wade Elliot i think his name is, a very skilful and pacy right winger. (We all saw what happened against Luton) Get Kenton in at left cos he has that extra bit of pace and strength to cope with Elliott, I would also be tempted to drop Stearman after his dismal effort on Saturday and his long going drink problem. He could be worse tonight you just don't no. Have Henderson in goal (I would like to see Logan have a go but it’s not goin to happen) Get Maybury back to his real position, McCarthy and Kisnorbo at centre followed by Kenton at left. Sylla right mid (he needs a chance and has that bit of pace), Johnson and Williams centre mid and Hughes at left. Finally Hume and Fryatt up front. Williams does deserve to be dropped but who else have we got? No one unless Tiatto plays at left and Hughes slots back into centre, but who wants that 'one legged pirate' in our team? If sylla is back to his worst then take him off early on for Josh low to see what he has to offer. --Henderson-- --Maybury--McCarthy©--Kisnorbo--Kenton-- --Sylla--Williams--Johnson--Hughes ----Fryatt----Hume----
Gamesmaster Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 Kenton did play left centre back v sociadad recently, you think he do a job at lb then? Hughes aswell, trific, no left footed players.

lcfc_jme Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 no point in dropping stearman though cos all we have to come in and cover right back is maybury, and he doesnt fill me with confidence wherever he plays.. i would drop nils though, he was woeful on saturday
Gamesmaster Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 Our one left footed left winger is shit. Who do you want him to pick, Damien Duff? OOh that'd be nice. Maybe we should've made the left back place priority this summer, and now. 2 central defenders in, one out, wicked.

How do you know we didn't look for a new left back? There would've been no point in bringing in a left back of poorer quality than we already have and the chances are that they would've been with the money we had to use.

Maybe the fact that we are reportedly already over budget would indicate that he couldn't have signed a left back after he'd signed the other 4 players. now whether he tried, failed and opted for Kenton/Tiatto instead we'll never know.

To be honest I always wanted somebody like Jamie Clapham but obviously nothing came of it and he went wolves
lookwhaticando Posted 8 August 2006 Posted 8 August 2006 It's happened. Kenton has replaced Nissa at LB, and Kisnorbo's taken up a place in central defence. I feel some people will be pleased, others outraged. I'm saying nothing
