davieG Posted 27 November 2004 Posted 27 November 2004 Nonentity: ENGLAND stars dramatically stopped Wayne Rooney from making a TV apology for his armband tantrum against Spain. Sven Goran Eriksson’s No 2, Steve McClaren, ordered the Manchester United striker to say sorry for tossing away the black band. But in an astonishing display of player power, senior team-mates told Rooney, 19, he did not need to bow to any pressure. Apparently led by Neville. Sven must go, the players don't respect him they are using him and riding roughshod over the fans. Just too Big for their Boots
Scow Posted 27 November 2004 Posted 27 November 2004 Have you got a link for that, Davie? Shocking behaviour if that's true. I'm continually losing interest in the national side, especially when we have a bunch of prima donnas putting in passionless, inept performances like against Spain. Neville is a jumped up little shit who always seems to be the ring leader of something.
