Flagg Posted 13 August 2006 Posted 13 August 2006 Basically what I was thinking is, if say you wanted to stop eating chocolate, you could have one last mega binge, and eat so much chocolate that you are ill for like the next 2 weeks or something. Then surely you'd never want chocolate again? Although with alcohol, normally if I over do it, the next day I'm always like 'I'll never drink again', but then you do anyway....

Don't think that's a good way... People usually binge eat because they feel guilty about eating (or perhaps just about eating chocolate). If one feels ok with eating, they will just eat what they need. The cause of binge eating is most likely in the person's beliefs about themselves and food (and perhaps also drink, in your case!!!).
