lookwhaticando Posted 18 August 2006 Share Posted 18 August 2006 Kelly also revealed some good news regarding defender Darren Kenton, who was forced to leave the field in the closing stages through injury. He added: "Darren has rocked his ankle again, but he is ok. He'll live and I am sure he will be all right for next week." Kelly's post-match comments
dandannieldanok Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 Thank God, Kenton was brilliant against Cov and when he came off Stearman was awful <_<
lcfc_jme Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 when he came off Stearman was awful <_< Stearman has just had an indifferent start to the campaign, maybe because everybody was praising him last term making him complacent and he had a prem club offer for him in close season. I'm sure when he settles down and gets his head together, he'll be fine and will look sound at the back. Kenton was brilliant yesterday though

lcfc_jme Posted 19 August 2006 Share Posted 19 August 2006 He's just got to get used to having a winger in front of him instead of another full back. He shouldn't have to, he is a right back, so he should know where he's playing and know what to do automatically! I think the problem is more mentally based than on-field

steve_wilson101 Posted 21 August 2006 Share Posted 21 August 2006 What on earth is going on with Sterman? It does smack to me of a lack of preparation and concentration. Can't believe the difference from last season to this. Thank goodness for Kenton who looked an unnecessary signing a few weeks ago but now looks core to the team.
