onetimeonly Posted 31 August 2006 Posted 31 August 2006 VS RUGBY BACK FOR ONE TIME ONLY A celebration of the first ever VS game 50 years ago will take place on Sunday 10th September at VS’s old ground, Butlin Road. This will be the last time a VS Rugby team will be played, due to an unpopular takeover two years ago. All football fans are invited to join the celebrations as VS Rugby legends take on a Coventry City Stars team (including some FA Cup winners). Admission is just £4 adults, £2 concessions. All gate money and food takings will go towards the cost of the event and charities such as the Northamptonshire and Warwickshire Air Ambulance. Bar takings will not. Many hardcore fans will congregate in the Clifton Inn (at the bottom of Butlin Rd) before and after the game, and again, all fans are invited to join them. We look forward to seeing you all.
