Portuguese sides in trouble with UEFA?

I doubt Sporting, Benfica and Porto will be thrown out of the Champions League, but this is interesting nevertheless.

CELTIC'S Champions League plans may be thrown into turmoil after UEFA admitted all Portuguese sides could be expelled.

The SPL champions were drawn against Benfica in the group stage but may face different opposition if the Portuguese football association is punished for a breach of FIFA rules. Portuguese top-flight side Gil Vicente appealed to a civil court over their relegation for fielding an ineligible player. Direct judicial interference in the running of football is forbidden under FIFA statute and punishments include expelling national teams and clubs from all football.

A decision is expected on 11 September.
