Southern Fox Posted 13 September 2006 Posted 13 September 2006 Henderson 6 - Made a good couple of stops. Distribution is improving but is slow in the mind. Spends too much time thinking about the throw or kick than actually doing it and when he does his accuracy is poor. Kenton 6 - Was sound defensively but offered nothing moving forward. Was replaced at half time with illness. To be honest with Stearman out of sorts I would happily see Maybury return to his natural position where he impressed when he first joined. Johansson 2 - Rob Kelly listen. He is too big and slow, too clumbsy, cant pass, crap in the air and offers nothing going forward. Why do we play him?? The mind boggles. Stuck to his task but doesnt have the natural abolity to play at left back so give the guy a break and stick him on the bench. Watching him play is worse than pulling your own teeth out. McCarthy 8 - Still our best player by miles at the mo. Outshone his other centre half. On another night would have scored a couple and less fouls than usual. Kisnorbo 7 - Another solid performace at the back. Never looks in trouble and always strong in the challenge. Porter 6 - Best offer of a threat at the moment even though he drifts in/out of game. The balls to his feet were none exsistent which didnt help the poor lad. Will get better with time. Low 5 - Out of sorts yesterday. For some reason the team have lost the ability to play the ball to his feet. His height is now his disadvantage as balls are pumped to him for flick ons. When he first came on scene the balls were played to his feet and he was allowed to flight in numerous crosses. Suffering from the lack of adventure in the centre of the park. Johnson 1 - Terribley overrated. The team is carrying him at present and his lack of domminance that is hurting the team. Any idiot can lob 5/6 (i think last night) into the air from 30 yards in the hope that someone may get on to it. No quality at all on the ball. Distribution over 5 yards is terrible. Colin Gibson described him as a "fetch & Carrier" - my sides nearly split. Too many neagtive balls back and not enough penatrative passes. Would be glad to see him dropped. Hughes 6 - Better game but to light weight for the fight in the Championship. I want to like "hughesy" but I am always left disappointed with his performances. Doesnt pair well with AJ although did better with the passing last night and had a chance to score. Fryatt 5 - Feeding off scraps all night cant be much fun. We as a club are slowing down his development. Isnt helping himself at the moment and needs a break of luck but you can see the confidence draining away as the match wore on. Hume 6 - Better game and definately early on was playing to prove a point. Drifted off during the game and the link up play with Fryatt that got some many points last season looked rusty. Could play on the right as an option and did okay but with Porter on the other side, height in the final third will be an issue with our last resort long ball tactic that has seen most games end with ROB KELLY 4 Sort it out Drop Nissa Johnansson Drop Andy Johnson PLEASE!!!!!!!! Bring in Maybury right back and play Kenton left back until Sheehan returns. Surely the young lad cant play any worse that NEJ. Hume and Fryatt up front for next 5 games no changes although COG would rightfully feel let down

De Vries The King Posted 13 September 2006 Posted 13 September 2006 Henderson 7 - did everything that was required and couldn't do a thing about the goal Nisse 3 - he really frustrates me by being a good player who can't be arsed to perform McCarthy 5 - gave the ball away stupidly in the first half I think and didn't do all that well Kisnorbo 7 - played well like he has done over the last couple of games Kenton 6 - average performance did nothing well, did nothing badly so just average Levi 7 - he played well but needs to deliver a better ball in Johnson 7.5 - I thought he played well and without him we wouldn't have a midfield Hughes 6.5 - ran out of ideas but played ok in the middle and has a lot of potential Low 6.5 - can put in a killer cross but can't really do all that much else but an average performance Fryatt 2 - shocking absolutely atrocious this guy needs to be dropped Hume 4 - given his chance but didn't do anything to warrant a place against Sunderland Subs: Stearman 5 - didn't really do anything O'grady 7 - looked good again and should start regularly Kelly - tactically all over the place bringing O'Grady a big lad on for Low the best crosser of the ball was stupid. Didn't change anything around much until the last 15 minutes and shoul never have brought Low off, it should definately of been Fryatt and people can't keep standing up for Matty yeah he's young but he needs to adapt to the way we're playing at the moment and wake up.
