Simi Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 I am thinking about asking for some new speakers for my computer this Christmas. I have being looking round and seen some nice looking speakers but i dont much about the compatability what will work with my PC and what will not. Any help would be appreciated ...
lookwhaticando Posted 17 November 2006 Posted 17 November 2006 Just about everything, really. Almost all computers use the same interface (one single pin adapter, much like the headphones on your MP3 player) for speakers. So long as your computer has a sound card, and the speakers don't use some bizarre interface, you should be good to go. Essentially, you'd have to be quite unfortunate to find a pair of speakers that will not work at all with your computer. Do you have any idea about the sound card in your computer?

I could find out quite easily. Its a new computer so it will hopefully be upto date. Thanks
